- Dale Jr. and co-host Mike Davis relive a busy weekend for Dale. First, he tells all about his trip to Darlington Raceway to pace the field with his restored Chevrolet Nova that his dad once raced. He talks about the whole experience including telling old racing stories with family during the car ride down, seeing the industry’s reaction in the garage, and what it was like getting on track. Both Dale and Mike then address the disappointment of NASCAR on FOX not showing the Nova on track.

All the broadcasters on the race were talking about Junior driving this car and there wasn't a single shot of it on the TV. Poor move, Fox Sports.
I was disappointed that Bill Elliott's and David Pearson's car weren't shown pacing either. I believe Fox dropped the ball big time.
Not sure what was worse, not showing the olds cars going around the track, or listening to Bubba and Eric. What an epic fail. Couldn’t even to stand to listen to the broadcast. Those 2 were as excited to be there as watching paint dry! Can’t wait for NBC
He would never admit it, but people were excited to see Jr. back out on track too.
NBC did the same thing when Childress took the 3 around Talladega. No respect.
I love how even though Jr was and is such a big part of NASCAR, he is still a fan as well. His excitement and passion shows through in the podcast. I sure appreciate the Dirty Mo Media team and The Dale Jr Download. This glimpse into who this man really is is so great.
NASCAR executives don't realize just how many "older NASCAR fans" that after raising their kids & as time goes by just don't have the time or just doesn't watch as much as they used to are still race fans from a distance. Dale Jr's podcast is only bringing back the older Xfinity/Cup fans back to the sport!! RESPECT is what its called Mike you are right!!
Fox was probably afraid of showing the car because of Teresa Earnhardt sueing them...
Great job Dale Jr. Your Dad would be proud of you.
Poor people have been removed from NASCAR through FS1 and others..... XFAN
Mike: “You told him to get out, right?”
Dale Jr. Thanks for all the things you present to us about Dale Sr. I was a big fan of his and you also. Don't get tired of hearing about you both. Keep it up.
Dale Jr is so humble! He’s so grounded, just one of the guys. There’s a lot of celebrities that could learn from him!
Jr I was there with my 10 yr old Grandson to see our First race ever and got the Best show ever watching you and the car Also explaining to him the history of You and your dad in racing. Thanks For the memory of a lifetime for me and My Grandson
That's one of my favorite car of your dad's. I love those era of cars because they had they're own personality and looked better than the ones they have today
JR is a awesome person not wanting any attention just wanting everyone to see his dads car
Its incredible what you do for the sports history in the modern era. There is truly no one else that can do it the way you do it! It has to be you! Thank you for all you do. As ive been starting my family, watching races and staying tuned in got tough. When i found this show recently it pulled me back in full force. Im sorry i didnt know it existed beforehand. Thank you, im so glad to be a fan of yours.
The car is awesome. Thanks to Dale Jr. and the whole team for all the hard work that went into putting it together and keeping these throwbacks alive.
Jr, got to tell ya..I've been a fan of yours from the very beginning of your career..even a bigger fan of yours now..you had a great career racing, but i think you've found your calling on being a ambassador of nascar...so easy to probably walk away into the sunset, but you haven't and thank you for bringing forth the history for new fans and current ones as well..great job!
I love the Smile Jr. Has on. Just what they all needed. I can't believe your giving it up,but I am sure proud of you.
