In terms of lore or canon, Cybuster is astronomically more powerful than Thrudgelmir could ever dream of being. The full posession event in LOE is the only in-game instance of it acting at its maximum potential.
Must say the sprite animation work in this game is very impressive.
I have a sudden urge to go play Alpha Gaiden now...

The Free Battle Mode in OG Gaiden doesn't actually use any damage calculation. Every attack set to deal damage deals damage in increments of 25% of the opponents HP.
Since the Neo Granzon has MUCH MORE HP than the Thrudgelmir, Wodan will deal more damage.
Just proves that no one can destroy the Earth like Shu.

in the lore, only the Astraganant (or dis-astranagant) could theoretically stand up to the neo Granzon and come out winning
@countrybluegrass The Akashic Records, which is also part of Full Possession, IS the only reason why Cybuster is deadly in combat. Without it active, Masaki's piloting skills makes the Cybuster one of the fastest and hardest units to hit at all. If Neo Granzon is almost completely on par with Ingram's Dis Astraganaunt, what does that tell you about sheer power? Both Astraganaunt and Dis Astraganaunt are two of the most powerful mechs ever created, and can remove any opponent from history.

@countrybluegrass No I never said that you were anything like that. No I'm just guessing that due to the Free Battle damage ratio was set for Thrudgelmir to do twice the amount of damage to the Neo Granzon, in a way I'm saying that this player must have wanted both units to deal almost the same proportion of damage to each other which is why the battle looked one sided.

That last attack may or may not be for cinematic effect. You will know either way depending if you live or not.

@Rnnyg13 Shu after being hit by Zankantou Ichimonji Giri and Zankantou Hoshinagi no Tachi, "Ok...this hurts more than being hit by Masaki." Woden would take the damage is less than Sanger's power.

Considering the attack quite literally destroys the solar system I would say that his remark would be accurate if it could actually happen however we are talking about fictional characters in a fictional game with fictional weapons that do fictional damage. Did I leave anything out? Oh yes, I forgot the part where fools are arguing over fictional stuff for the sake of argument. One of which is quite obviously unliked by the general populace who watch the video as his comments get voted away.
And then in 29th will be have 2nd Super Robot Wars Original Generations, for PS3, with no international release u.u

What is the point of this? It's completely tangental and irrelevant to what I said! How is this relevant to Thrudgelmir not being as strong as Cybuster at its best?
