I'm a housewife living in my husband's shadow. One day, a half-naked man showed up on our balcony and knocked on the glass door, begging me to let him in. I decided to do it so he would leave the apartment as soon as possible. But, at that very moment, my husband walked in and mistook the stranger for my lover. He was both angry and in disbelief, and started verbally abusing me.
Much to my surprise, the stranger stood up for me by striking my husband in the head, leading us to leave the home I had called mine for a decade. I was no longer threatened by my husband, but, deep down, I knew that I would be haunted by the consequences of my actions…

My experience was hurt and betrayal beyond what I thought was possible. I didn't take revenge, because two wrongs, will never make a right. It wasn't okay for her to betray me, and it wouldn't have been okay for me to hurt her back.
