How To Be A Ballet Dancer

So you're a ballet dancer...that's terrific! You must be an energetic, hardworking, and conscientious young person...and you must love it to be able to put up with the blood, sweat and tears that come with being an artist, but as dancers we're always trying to better ourselves and there's always more to learn. In this video we try to clearly distinguish the difference between right and wrong and what's an acceptable approach to ballet class and rehearsal. Use this as a how to guide if you will for becoming the best ballet dancer you can be! Good luck!

That's not really true. Although body type is a small part of it, dancers aren't accepted into companies or good schools because they are skinny. It's more than that. Most dancers are skinny simply because of the intensity of ballet and how healthy you become.

Ballet shoudn't be "dictatorial". We leave in democracies but then Ballet just didn´t evolve. We're not longer leaving at Louis VIX court. It doesnt' mean we don't need to be respectuful with each other or our teachers and directors. But i see lots of injustice in ballet'world because of this "anciant mentality" and "slave behavior"
