    Excellent job. When get some down time go back and remove the grommets and use some fingernail enamel or primer paint and paint the metal where you drilled. It'll prevent rust.

    Great video. Can you always leave the fuse on reset or do you have to try it depending on usage?

    • @truckingpaysthebills5394
      @truckingpaysthebills5394  Před 2 lety

      You will always leave the breaker set.After you hook up the inverter in your vehicle the only time you will need to hit the reset button is when the breaker is trip because of over load or a issue with the wires that's cause the breaker to trip.

      You should have a low voltage warning on your truck that will lot you know when your battery are getting too low if you planning on putting a inverter some inverter have some built in and some truck have them integrated they also make some that plug in your cigarette outlet.
      You can watch your TV for hours with your truck off, how long depends on the watts you are pulling. For the microwave i recommend running your truck while using it but i have use my microwave with my truck off for 2 to 3 minutes many times with no issues

    excellent video. I have a question in hopes someone can give me an honest answer. My Prostar doesn't have an APU, but there is an outlet under the side pocket door that says cab power. I used an extension cord and plugged it into the house and the cab had power including the 110v outlets inside the cab.
    I have the same batteries you're using and then there are four more under the step box to the catwalk. My thought is to buy an inverter like yours and mount it inside the side pocket or better yet under the center storage under the rack/bed. I'm thinking of unplugging the cab power outlet and running it into the side pocket to plug it into the new power inverter. My theory is that I'll be able to use the 110v outlets in the cab.

      Hi Richard i understand what you are asking and don't see any reason why it wouldn't work with the inverter it would basically give you 2 extra sockets.Is there a blug on the end of the outlet in the side packet or is it hard wired?

      @@richardu6244 just keep this in mind on AC currently the wider male prong is the neutral wire and the smaller wire is the hot side.the inverter job is to convert DC currently in to AC current.If you can identify the neutral and hot side on the outlet then you can plug them in correctly on the inverter

    • @truckingpaysthebills5394
      @truckingpaysthebills5394  Před 8 měsíci

      Get with your fleet manager and see if they can direct you, but i think once you buy your inverter, Schneider will install it for you. But make sure you ask them if there is a watt limit requirement. Some companies will only allow you to install up to certain watt.
