I had a '90 Trofeo silver with maroon interior and the touchscreen and I loved that car. It had classic lines and the taillights looked so cool at night.
Great video. I wanted one of those really bad back in the day. We did end up getting an Olds Touring Sedan with similar seats and shifter. Love the Olds jingle!
Had not driven it for more than a couple of miles, so taking it on a road trip through the desert was risky.. I had no history with the car.. but it's turned out to be a champ!
Thanks man! Glad I didn't have an problems, but bummed I won't be able to work on it till fall. Have no indoor place to store it in SoCal, and I don't want it sitting outside all summer in 100+ degree heat.. every piece of plastic will dry up and crack!
Lookin good so far. I can't wait see what else you are going to do. I'm working on restoring my 1989 eighty-eight royale with the sport suspension. Just did tires, a/c and headlights. Now i need to takle the valve cover gaskets.
Good video. Of course it was a great ride, as it was the premier car of the erra. Just wondering what was your recorded fuel economy. Mine over the road is usually 32 mpg. What did you get?
These were great cars nothing today rides that nice, they all ride like shit you feel every bump. I am not sure why you were so surprised that this car was great on a road trip. It was built to cruise not handle the race track. Who drives on a race track?
That 3.8 v6 has to be the best engine GM has ever made
I agree, Bullet Proof!
Always liked this car when it came out. Nice to see one again😎
It's such a clean design that has held up well. It still gets looks on the road!

I love the trofeos.. so unique and the styling has aged well. It still looks modern and people ask what type of car it is!
Trofeo still looks gorgeous 30 years later.
It really does.. it was such a clean design that really held the test of time.
Love the Trofeo! Nice!!
Love the dash on these old GM cars
I know! And the colors are awesome!
oh man, I want to go!! This and the Seville were some of the cleanest designs.
I agree. This design still gets the second looks today

I love the Touring Sedan! The seats and shifter are awesome.. they get the most comment!
Underappreciated cars
They really are. I just think the timing wasn't right for them. But I think they have aged well.
Why should this be a risky journey? Great car. For the build-up, I suppose.

Awesome! Glad it made the trip, can't wait for what you do next when fall comes!
