  • Greetings boys and girls, in today's video I will show you how to change the middle brake lamp that's on the door of the Renault Kangoo. The funny thing is that I had to do the yearly technical inspection and I could not pass it with a faulty bulb so I went to 3 services for a fast change and guess what? I got turned down because the procedure is too complicated and it will break the lamp in the removal process :) so I had to do it myself to see what is that complicated :) and I also made a small video for you in case you encounter the same situation.
Also thank you for watching the video all the way, I really appreciate it(it takes a lot of time and effort to create these videos)

So what do you do when the service say that they cant help you ? you take matters in your own hands and fix it?

Trying to unlock that stupid lamp, you have to break it. And go buy a new one. That was the purpose of this "invention" from renault.

@m don't lose your patience, you can do it, you just need that tool that I used and after that, it should be a matter of time until you pull it out, don't forget depending if the lamp was opened previously or not it might have the adhesive gasket still robust, on my Kangoo the adhesive wasn't that strong and it was mostly kept in place by a combination of glue and dirt.

Good job, I am so glad to hear that. I remember how happy I was when I changed mine, and the mechanics could not do it without breaking it.
Bon travail, je suis si heureux d'entendre ça. Je me souviens à quel point j'étais heureux quand j'ai changé le mien, et les mécaniciens ne pouvaient pas le faire sans le casser.

Thanks a lot! Unfortunately , you did not show the clamps which hold the lamp in place when you took the lamp out. It would help to understand how to manage those clamps and take the lamp out. Merci boquor!

Damn it, why Renault had to make it this complicated with third break light. As if it wasn't enough that plastic on main rear lights tend to crack when you remove it to change light bulb.
