George had always been very close and caring for his family, and when he learned his nephew George was hospitalized in a coma, he bargained with God to take his life instead of his 5-year-old nephew’s.
Previously George had given little thought to God being real. In March 1977, after George fought Jimmy Young in Puerto Rico and lost, he underwent the fight of his life.
Back in the dressing room he sensed he was dying and heard a voice say, I don’t want your money. I want you!
George’s intense spiritual struggle caused raised eyebrows in the dressing room because he started acting out according to the voice he heard.
He finally yelled, “Jesus Christ is coming alive in me!”
He told everyone he loved them and kissed them. They thought he was losing his mind, but when the episode was over George knew he would never be the same again. After that encounter George spouted love instead of hate and pursued God instead of a boxing career. He left boxing in 1977 never expecting to return, becoming a preacher and developing a ministry to troubled young men. - Zábava

The Light if Jesus shines through him. His eyes are brilliant with the glory of God. And his heart is filled with compassion.
I would like to meet this man someday. He seems like such a genuine kind hearted man.
I'd rather meet the real Jesus.
I always think that there's just no better conversion story than George Foreman. He was one of (if not) the meanest, baddest, hardest hitting, bullying boxers ever. An opponent with with a bible just angered him. So his born again experienced must have been so real powerful, dramatic and sincere, and loving as to change him from his former self to what he is now. I like how he once described himself. I'm a full time preacher that moonlights as a boxer.
God is so proud of George and so am I...

This is one of the hardest hitting boxers in the world. And to hear his testimony how the Lord spoke to him in his dressing room and change his life forever is super amazing!!! Not only that but he love God and people. And ask people to forgive him, now this is the Jesus that I serve!!!! I love the way brother Foreman talks about human life in a world where people are constantly snerr and think that human beings should be exterminated, human beings were made in the image of God ( Genesis 1:26-27)and are the crown of the earthly creation.
What brother Foreman is saying is the true love which embodies the greatest commandment of God, which is to love God with all your heart and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself ( Matthew 22:37-39).

Great commentary. When I was saved the Lord showed me a motion picture of all my sins. I was horrified when I realized what I was without the Lord.

Why? You do realize that Western people (and now only America) have been celebrating the life of a Jewish outlaw for the last 20 centuries? The man was a vagabond - no more the Son of God than those vagabonds in Afghanistan and Eritrea, who would detest America. Of course the man we call Jesus was a good man, but of course he wasn't remotely the son of any god, or goddess.

Before George Foreman was saved he was a big imposing man that possessed a bad attitude, but was capable of knocking out any heavyweight in the world with his powerful punches.
When George was saved it became obvious to everyone that he was born-again and became a totally different person.

As a boxer he was amazing with those thunderous punches, just watch him hit a bag is eerie, it's so devastating, and then to see hm now as the person he is now, outside the ring, as a preacher, as a human, its so amazing. I see how calm, gentle, loving, warm and glowing he is. He have a beautiful soul. It is beautiful to see a man to be this humble and warm, and to think what a devastating puncher this guy was, and perhaps still is. Truly admirable. I see his warmth and love, and myself sometimes I am quick to anger, sometimes I can be less compassionate. Sometimes I can be vicious, I don't like that. I wish I was more like George, what a fine human being.

I've always been a huge Ali fan for 40 yr but I think Foreman is as big of a legend today. I'm not religious. Don't believe in god. But I believe George. I've seen the fight with Young. He didn't beat George crazy. That's what I think

I just see no reason why I should believe in one. Why would a god let 35000 kids die every day because of no food? I'm born in Sweden so if I was religious I would be a Christian. If I was born in your country I would probably be a Muslim. So... I haven't seen any evidence for a god. And which religion is the right one? I can be wrong but I think that if there's something bigger the rulers of this world have corrupted the true meaning of where we came from and are going. Actually ... we believe in god caz it is the most reasonable logical idea that explains the purpose for all what is happening in this world . We believe that our life here is a test for our deeds and actions. and our souls will live after coming out of our bodies. The evidence of this is that a lot of ppl see some dead people in dreams and talk with them about real actions and occurrences here in life . We all know what death is . Death is when the soul leaves the body . Where do souls go ?
Why some people die with no reason ... no accidents ... no pain ... no diseases no any logical reason for death ? Why do their souls leave the undamaged true fit bodies?
This is a true pure evidence for god ... and god is the responsible of our fate (death)

For me, and I'm not saying I'm right, that is just life. Life happens. People die. People are born. Is there a soul and where were my soul before I was born?.. I think life's amazing. I just see no evidence for a god the way it has been described to me in my 48 yr here. I don't want another life. I have one and believe that's it. But I live in Thailand among 70% Muslims here on this island and I have the biggest respect for who or what they believe. But believe isn't enough for me. I can't. But hey my friend... Why didn't Jesus rescue you? For the obvious reason: Jesus (obviously a mortal man, because there is no other kind of man) was nailed to two planks of wood 20 centuries ago for crimes against the state. To look to a dead Jew for salvation is a ludicrous notion, obviously.
