Sad reality: Not all vets available in your city knows about birds. They usually treat dogs and cats and know a shit about birds or reptiles. A lot of times the Vets only make the suffering of your pet gets worse by stressing the animal and prescribed a lot of medicine that does not work for the particular illness. And all of this it's exhausting for you and the bird 😔
Honestly breaks my heart seeing any bird sick. Thanks for advice. Believe It or not this info helps tremendously.
The bird I was attempting to rescue ended up dying as I was watching the video. I shed a couple tears. Right before he died I have the fledgling bird one last flight and assisted him through the air. I was singing to him as he died. I’ve never seen a bird death much less have one die in my hand. I hope he understood I was trying my best and hopefully there’s an afterlife where I can revisit him. my bird died yesterday because of my sister the bird got out of her cage and she was flying and my mom was getting inside but my mom got on time when sister came inside slow the bird got trap on the side of the door it was white 😢😢😢😢 i miss her i have her memorys 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😖😔😔😔😔

Sir my cocktail is having heavy breathing and sneezing too. We went to vet he has suggested tetracyclin but still having the problem.He is eating well, drinking, playing, sleeping . Is it's serious problem
My cockatiel has also started breathing heavily since yesterday. How good is your Cockatiel now? Did tetracycline help? I don't have any avian veterinarian in my area.

My cockatiel went to the vet and is taking powder medicine in his water, how can I get him to drink more water? They said it is possible he has bird fever and that scares me a lot we dont get results for a few days. He lost his voice. :(

Sir my cockatiel is vomiting and sitting all fluffy. We don't have a vet, but the place we bought him from is very responsible with their birds, they are the closest thing to a vet.

Hi,my cockatiel hit his head nearly 5times on ceiling,I can hear the sound when he hits..but he is doing good,sleeping with one leg,eating and all..its been an hour he is doing fine..should I worry or todo something..i live in a state where there is no again vet,so pls help.pls

As I put the usual nightly blanket over my birds cage, I noticed one of them named Pecker on the bottom of the cage in the corner. I thought it was unusual as I said goodnight. When I woke up in the morning, I saw Pecker still in the corner as I removed the blanket and gave them breakfast. I headed out for work. When I returned from work 5 hours later, I discovered Pecker still on the bottom and I was concerned. Someone give me advice.
letsgetlucky you need to take him to the vet. Birds don’t often show that they are sick and once they show symptoms like sitting on the bottom of the cage is not normal bc he probably feels really weak that he can’t hold himself up. I hope he’s doing good now...

When you first saw the bird in the corner at the bottom of the cage that should have been the indication the bird was sick. When the bird was still in the same spot in the morning that was the time action should have been initiated. Hours later the bird continued to be in the same spot, still no action taken. 16 hrs of seeing the bird sitting on the bottom of the cage is a bit irresponsible and action still wasn't even taken then...instead you go on CZcams to ask what the problem might be...seriously??. Did I read all that correctly?

@@letsgetlucky_ I am sorry I know my response may have come across sounding harsh but with birds, or most animals actually, they don’t show signs of being sick until it’s a very urgent. On top of that birds are very fragile and even with prompt treatment a lot of the time it’s already too late. I know the loss of a beloved companion is difficult and I am sorry for your loss.

I have budgies , some budgies or birds as a whole don't respond to new scents well. Budgies can sneeze if they have a nose blockade in the upper cavalry of the nose.

Probably what you Are feeding him. I switched my birds from seeds and now they are eating pellets which has much more nutrients, I see a dramatic change in his poop. Its not diarrea anymore
I use a little bit of very diluted cider vinegar in my birds water if they seem to be having digestive problems
