I didn’t hate the Jimbo fisher hire cause I was jealous. I just knew of a lot of the BS going on at FSU and I knew A&M was going to waste their money.

This program isn’t broken. It’s simply not a winning program and you can’t purchase that. The expectations are simply unrealistic for a program that isn’t a championship program. A Move to the Big 12 is about the only hope they have.
Lucci applauded the extension....i take his opinion with same amount of salt grains as a random person with an Aggie shirt on.
You're taking the extension as if there are no other reasons for it other than his record that year.
@VictorMarines06 It was an insane contract to start with. And it got extended off ONE decent season because LSU was open. Nothing warranted the insane buy out.

Could be if the expectations are too high. We are becoming like the longhorns. What happened to Charlie Strong and Tom Herman? Those guys have disappeared. Fisher will be coaching a major college in 2025. Sexton is his agent.
"Fix" means that you can get aTm to what they were before. aTm was nothing before and just a mediocre program. So it isn't fixing aTm, it is elevating the program to a place that it has never been before.
You fix what’s wrong with your team. A&M finished #4 in the nation in 2020. Playoffs are about to be 12-team format. So yeah, “fix” is a fine word. But yeah, A&M is 21st in alltime wins but really only began investing in 2010s.
That’s not completely true. A&M did have a run of Conference championships in the 80s and 90s. Of course, they cheated to get there and were sanctioned twice by the NCAA. I say this only partially tongue in cheek because what is happening is that the Aggie faithful Remember when they were champions and selectively forget it is a tarnished record.
People hate A&M because fans always say. “We have money”.

Billy is such a Homer. Texas absolutely played a role in this. Oregon has beaten a bunch of loser teams and their best win is against a team with 3 losses. Texas won in Tuscaloosa. Doesn’t matter how much you win by, you have to win. That’s a foreign concept to the team that never loses, they just run out of time.
For all the shit they talk, texas tries really hard to insert themselves in everything Texas A&M.
@@VictorMarines06 watch the interview. Billy said Texas played a role. He said they are barely beating crap teams. He made no mention of the loser teams beaten by A&M. He also said he would vote for Oregon. Texas didn’t insert itself…the interviewers and Billy brought up Texas
The problem is TAMU thinks they are actually a destination that coaches and recruits will line up to go to. Reality is, they haven't been relevant for decades

@hossbronco Yes and no. ATM definitely has a top roster. Jimbo proved that talent will come to College Station. But, the common misconception is that they have been some sort of national power. Not true. Largely irrelevant with no National Championships in the modern era and only a few conference championships.

A&M has come a long way since being an all-male military school in the 1960s and is now the largest public university in the U.S. The point isn’t that A&M has an amazing history of winning in the modern era. The point is that with a passionate fan base, facilities that are second to none, and the ability to finance a solid coaching staff, A&M shouldn’t just settle for 8 win seasons. Frankly no SEC school short of Vandy or Kentucky should. The comment above implied that no one would want to go to A&M, but they’re clearly competing on the national stage for the best recruits, they have all the financial backing they need, so the only thing holding them back is coaching.
People act like A&M has been running around chasing coaches, but they were only on their second coach since 2011, making it one of the more stable jobs in the SEC. Jimbo had 6 years to produce and didn’t, but unlike at Florida State, he couldn’t point to a lack of resources as the reason for not succeeding.

I've really tried to listen to this guy Liucci, supposedly some kind of expert on A&M. He just drones on and on and on and never says anything of substance and that is not already common knowledge.
