Getting robbed makes it much harder to take. I can handle being beat fair and square, but when something like this happens, the feeling of injustice leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth.
@Dragon Of The West yes I know, I'm not saying we deserved to win or whether we would've scored the penalty, I'm just commenting on a crucial moment in the game that "could've" changed the outcome. If we had been awarded the penalty and missed it, I would have no complaints. I'm merely commenting on the injustice.

Don't support either of these teams but Huddersfield were robbed of at least one clear penalty, even the first shout I've seen given.
Actually at the first situation the Huddersfield player shouldn't have jumped over the opponent's leg, but struck it. Then there wouldn't be doubt.
There was no robbery. On the first incident, the Huddersfield player so blatantly looks for the foul, he initiates contact, though it's not the best defending by Colback. But it's not a foul. And it's his own fault for being silly, cause if he stays on his feet, he can then have a shot at goal. On the second, the Forest defender gets back ahead of the attacker just before there's any contact between the two, and as he's the closest to the ball, it's a foul by the Huddersfield player actually. Football remains a contact sport and not every contact is a foul, let alone a penalty. There were many fouls in other, less dangerous parts of the pitch that weren't blown for Forest, but nobody says a thing about those.

Really unlucky with the penalty shouts but I walked back to the station with the Huddersfield fans and it was all really good natured and they were happy to chat. Really hope you get promoted next season.

An Everton fan here, and I am delighted for the Forest faithful -I went to Uni there in the 80's ,they have waited a long time. However Jon Moss is a terrible ref. He is always behind the play and has a habit of making wrong decisions. He has stuffed my club many times in favour of the Sky six and his performances never result in him being dropped. Such an important game and he was the deciding factor....a whole season and future destiny in the hands of , at best , an inept official , and at worst, a corrupt one. Hard luck Huddersfield.
That was his last game as a ref he is now going to join the VAR team you couldnt make it up

On the penalty shouts, there was slight (although not obvious) contact on the first but Toffolo sought it and exaggerated it to justify what what looked a theatrical dive, hence the booking. On the second, O'Brien's first touch makes it a 50/50 ball, he then stretched his left leg and planted his foot without having control of the ball and Lowe has clattered into him. Both were debatable and VAR will only ever uphold the ref's decision unless he was very clearly wrong, which means that if he had given either of them VAR would also have backed him. Huddersfield might consider themselves unlucky not to get one of them given, but they were certainly not robbed. Had they been awarded a penalty it would have been their only chance to get a shot on target in the entire 90 mins.

The first one, I've seen in Prem this season boundless moments that referees didn't give that cause they think the player force a diving and they want clear yellow fouls giving although sometimes they gave them but very rare. The second one no debate too clear its shocking they didn't give that one

Was it fuck a dive. Your player left his leg in and Toffolo either had to run into it or try to avoid it. But whatever he did, your player leaving his leg in like that is a foul and a penalty.

Born and bred Nottm, and was there last time Forest was promoted with Cloughie. I stopped watching football after the first premier game after seeing a new set of football fans only there to watch a first division team. It sickened me, after all, we went through to support them there.I thought I must take a look at this game after all these years but I won't be watching anymore, I didn't enjoy that at all . Football isn't nice to watch anymore. I believe it was much more tactical and graceful to watch in the 70's when footballers were decent blokes getting paid a decent wage for their talent, not like now overpaid wannabee celebs .now it seems different more like an unorganized free for all. However good look Forest for next season The City of Nottingham deserves promotion for more than just Robin Hood.
As a Forest fan I really don't know why at least one penalty wasn't awarded. Maybe thought first was a dive? Who knows. I can see why second wasn't given as he'd lost control of the ball but for me the first was a penalty. We were very lucky. That said, "robbed" is a bit much. Forest were the better team on the day. Created more and looked more dangerous. Could have been out of sight if Yates scored that free header and we'd been more clinical in front of goal. Huddersfield didn't register a shot on target.

Moss and Tierney should be ashamed of themselves for not awarding 2 clear penalties to Huddersfield , it has cost Huddersfield the promotion not to mention the millions lost , due to not being promoted.Referees incompotence or dare I say it , corruption, should be investigated and checked and if referees are found to be inept and or possibly corrupt, then they should not be involved , especially in such high profile matches, which literally can cost millions.Thank goodness that Moss is retiring.

The first is really a dive where the attacker should have been rewarded with a yellow card. The second is neither a penalty. It is a fair duel, but a bit harsh. So if there was given a penalty it would not be 100% injustice

Forest weren't officiating. They did what they had to to earn promotion. They have every reason to feel proud, especially given where they've cone from this season. Huddersfield, on the other hand, were woeful. I'd be ashamed of that performance if it was my team. Biggest game of the season and they choose to park the bus from the 1st minute, don't create a single chance, and go down with a whimper? Miserable performance that got what it deserved...another season of Championship football.
