I served in the US military for 24 years and worked in the defense industry for another 12 years. I can say with confidence that a lot of brothers avoided attending organization events because they knew and understood that their wives would not fit in or mix well with the other guest. If and when their wives did attend events, most of them only interacted and engaged with themselves at one dinner table or in a corner off by themselves.
Over the years I heard many of my own people try to explain this mess away by saying that the white people are racists and do not want to engage or interact with black folk. I call BS... My black as 100 million midnight's, 5'11" built like Flo Jo, African braid wearing wife and several other black women, who are also wives, NEVER had a problem interacting and engaging with any group of people.
The truth hurts... a lot of brothers marry low as a dog females because they do no know the difference. They have no clue and really don't believe they deserve a good woman. I believe it all comes down to what type of mother they were raised by.
Most black men didn't have strong fathers to give them that wisdom. So they end up picking low hanging fruit during the deception phase

That being said, black men with their lives in order have serious decisions to make. Our survival as a people in the USA depends on what "WE" do individually and collectively.
One of the decisions we are forced to make is our association, engagement, and interaction with black folk, male and female, who refuse to be productive.
The bleeding heart types want to save everyone from self-destruction and harm. I look at this as someone suffering a god complex. In other words, these people are wasting their time.
Case in point: My cousin needed new brakes on his car. He could not afford to pay a mechanic to install new brake pads. But, he could afford to buy the brakes. I told him to buy the brakes and that he would LEARN to install the brakes with my help. His initial response was to ask for a loan so he could take the car to the mechanic. I told him, hell no! Instead of trying to learn who to do something using his own brainpower and manpower, he bitched up like a coward and cried - No one is willing to help me. The nutjob continued to drive his car and messed up all four rotors. Now he had a way more expensive and difficult job. NO MY PROBLEM.
The above story is the mindset of weak black males and females. The are beaten down, scared to death of hard work, and want everyone to do everything for them.

~ I’m slightly older than most on the panel. My pops was born in the “great generation “ BEFORE the baby boomers. My pops definitely not a simp. My mom and dad stayed together 44 years until his death in 2005. He was the ultimate provider and protector. While he was dying, my then pregnant fiancé and I went to visit him in the hospital.
When she stepped out for a moment, he called me close and told me “son protect yourself, these women today aren’t like the women of my day. {We have been divorced for 12 years… he was right} He said they don’t understand that love is a duty!
My pops explained to me when I was an adolescent that there are wives and concubines and there were rules of engagement with both. My uncles did as well.
There are more examples of this with men from my era.
Men in my era “LIVED” through the change that female empowerment and feminism brought to modern society.
My focus with teaching my sons
Focus on you! Teaching them first “work ethic” via sports, working out. That’s the physical. Teaching them “strong mentality I.e. mental health~ showing them how to pick themselves and LEARN from their failure. Teach them Spirituality through the scriptures, and God’s order… not organized religion.
I also teach them to go where they are valued. And if they aren’t valued …. Cut ties.
Gotta prepare our young men early.
FTR my oldest son (not through my marriage) Graduated College, he earned an athletic scholarship and is now in graduate school with a beautiful “non black “ sister who has supported him since he was a junior in high school. They both graduated. Both will be dentist.
My middle son has two scholarship offers for track, will be college bound in a year. He is too busy working on himself to have a GF, and he’s not focused. He’s more of a player” type and understands his value and he will never simp! Lol
My youngest son played 3 sports his freshman year, honor roll student. He does have a GF. I personally vetted her, and the one thing he took from our lessons is don’t mess with a woman that doesn’t have a good father in the home. He made sure that when I met his GF that her dad was there. I’m proud of my sons.
I am proud of the men that taught me.
Personally, I got caught in the wash. Thinking that the women I dated and courted in my day would be similar to my mom and aunts … I believe my generation was the first adult men to experience the effects of feminism and women empowerment.
The generation of men that came after definitely have far more difficulty with finding a good woman than the men of yesteryear.

I used to wonder why women seem to be so angry and unsatisfied.
I get it now. The truth has been under our noses all along: they recognize (but will never admit) that they bring comparatively little to relationships today. Rather than face that, they opt to gaslight men into thinking we’re the problem.
Sadly, some men (mostly those raised by single mothers) have been brainwashed sufficiently to believe the lies about themselves.
The good news is that, by and large, men have been walking away from the whole relationship and marriage scene. They realize their value, and for the first time they’re waking up to the reality that it’s just not worth it.
