- Head High Barreling Waves At Swamis.
With the recent swell Swamis saw a jump in size producing some very fun waves. Although not every wave resulted in a barrel there a few found in the lineup. It was a crowded lineup with multiple surfers going for each waves but it made for some interesting surfing.

Great wave but lots of competition. I paddled out there once during a nice swell 20 years ago and still can't believe the number of people who also didn't have to be at work at some random mid week day.
Absolutely gorgeous video/ filming....haven't seen Swami's like this in ...forever. The color of the water, the barreling and mushy waves, glass conditions. Swami's at this size is one of the best waves on the West Coast.

Man, so many kook's out with no etiquette. Same guys keep dropping in on people. It was firing but the snaking was frustrating! Anyway, thanks for the footage of some of my old stomping grounds.
I started surfing Swamis in 1968. Back then we had elders who kept the order.

Surfed Swamis back in the 80s on a 8.0 and the best was 4-7ft. Now this is excellent!

everybody complains about the people in the water it just makes you better at carving, dodging. when you let your surfing talk for you people move, the only thing is that when your in the take off zone most people give you the stink eye than they bail, fail or when they catch one they just stand an wiggle their butt, real surfers just surf, the ego is not so hard to leave on the beach, if your worried about kooks just wait 10 years, we would share the wave an just have fun, i saw a girl knock out an old guy on the stairs just for touching her butt, they will regulate the crowd will never thin, that is why spots got names, guys would just paddle over to a new take off zone an rule it

This used to be one of my favorite spots. Clearly anybody can buy a surfboard, and everyone has, what a joke this sport has become. Most of the time the surf in S. CA sucks and when it doesn't this is what you get, a total log jam. With some MMA sessions on the beach and in the water with some ramming and chicken thrown in for good measure. Thanks for reminding me why I gave this up long ago. ''Just give me some tasty waves'' classic quote from the low IQ gang that dominate the sport.
