Lucille Ball could barely afford to feed herself before _I Love Lucy._ but she kept trying and eventually won the entire nation with her comedic skills. She deserves every ounce of praise she ever got. R.I.P.
I remember seeing Octavia Spencer in small roles growing up like Spider-Man and Big Momma’s House, not knowing who she was, and then she did The Help which skyrocketed her career
Preach, I watched Spider Man again recently, and I was surprised to see her as the receptionist in the boxing tournament. She also had a small role in Never Been Kissed as one of Jose's coworkers.
I remember when she was in Beauty Shop and Keshia Knight Pulliam'z character asked her if she wanted a cappuccino and she said "I don't drink nothing I can't spell" 😅
As happy and proud I am of these celebrities that made it to Hollywood, I just hope Hollywood doesn’t destroy their careers and their lives
I no right. I personally wouldn’t want to be famous in Hollywood, it’s a poisonous place
Sorry to say it, but there are some shady and sketchy stuff that's being exposed on Hollywood rn. There's a lot of innocent children going missing, there's alot of pedos that Hollywood is protecting so they can avoid the consequences of their harsh actions and seemingly nearly alot of celebs are not as much of a good influences that they depict they are. Just look at Oprah Winfrey, I used to admire her, but now I'm starting to see that she's a messed up woman who is willing to prioritize herself over others. It's disgusting and sickening.
Yep let's hope so
Ke Huy Quan, an Asian-American child actor who struggled to find work in the industry after two hit movies, takes a 30-year hiatus and then wins an Oscar for EEAAO. I’m so proud of him!!!
I really had no idea and a lot of them found success after 30. This is really comforting even though I’m not an actress or have any desire to be one listening. This is so relatable because it gives you hope that you can find success at any age it doesn’t have to be early as long as you keep trying that’s what matters.
Also Tyler Perry,Kevin Hart,Jim Carrey,Halle Berry,The Rock,Sharon Stone,Suzanne Somers,Bruce Wills,Jackie Chan and Tiffany Haddish should get honorable mentions.
At least these celebrities didn't give up on their passions, eventually managing to prevail, no matter how daunting circumstances seemed to be at times.
You are so right
I love Leslie jones in SNL, I also love Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Gal Godot now those women are absolutely amazing
As an actor myself who is trying to make it this video really inspired me thank you for this upload Msmojo I enjoyed it
I remember first seeing Bryan Cranston on King of Queens as Doug and Carries neighbor Tim Sacksky…he was hilarious! Such a great comedic actor going on to an iconic dramatic role in Breaking Bad was amazing and a tribute to his acting!
Who doesn’t love Kathy bates, she’s just an icon isn’t she. Can I hear an amen!
I kept seeing Octavia Spencer in so many roles that I began to recognize her. When I saw her in The Help, Ive already seen her in other roles and recognized her immediately despite not knowing her name. I love the role she and Viola played. That movie is on my top list of movies I treasure. Then Hidden Figures appeared and it’s when I finally knew her name. I love hearing about her journey. Makes me excited
I really respect kathy bates she's a brilliant actress love her in Dolores Claiborne and fried green tomatoes
❤❤❤
Steve Carell did an impressive job in ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin’, and the ‘Despicable Me’ film franchise.
OH KELLY CLARKSON!!
He is very overrated
He was great in “Foxcatcher,” “Battle of the Sexes,” and “The morning show!”
Bradley Cooper.
Film actor. Film writer. Voice actor (as the MCU Rocket Racoon version). Film director. Film producer.
Morgan Freeman.
Billy Bob Thornton.
Octavia Spencer.
Viola Davis.
Harrison Ford.
Melissa McCarthy.
Jon Hamm.
I remember Octavia Spencer played Dr. Evilini on Wizards of Waverly Place.
I remember seeing her in that too
@@Omar-wq9dz i remember never watching that show and being better off for it
@@mattalan6618But you still commented 🤣
@@syria0110 CAUSE I CHOSE TO BITCH
Love nearly all of them. 🎉 congratulations 🍾
My best is Viola Davis she is a gifted human to Our world❤❤
An Spencer is also my fav
Y'all really talked about Melissa McCarthy without mentioning her title role in Mike & Molly? ....a'ght. 😒
There aren't any better actors than Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer. In my opinion they are both top notch, #1 actors at their game. They are amazing women. I watch everything they're in because i can count on it being a great performance.
Yes so true
I fell in love with Harrison Ford when I saw him in American Graffiti. With all the well known stars in that movie, he was the one who stood out to me. I loved him ever since. All these people are amazing and it shouldn't have takin so long to make it.
Katy Perry should’ve been on this list. She dropped out of highschool, moved to L.A., and then spent 6 years trying to get signed by a record label. not to mention all the countless times she was dropped and signed my record labels. In fact her first ever Christian album flopped so bad, the label that released it went bankrupt.
good video
Pedro Pascal could have been at least an honorable mention.
I 1000% agree
I can imagine breaking into Hollywood is very difficult especially because there's so many people out there trying to do it too.
I can't imagine trying to be an actor during the pandemic times either that seems so difficult
Motivation to keep at your passions :)
Jacob elordi was an upcoming coming actor he was living in his car before Euphoria. He was still broke after kissing booth, but now he is in the upcoming coming movie, and he starts with barry keoghan diego calva. Will poulter I'll look up to him.
Melissa McCarthy didn't jump from Gilmore Gilrs to movie star. She had another show called Mike & Molly which premiered in 2010 and won her an Emmy in 2011, the same year she was cast in Bridesmaids. Kinda left out that part.
Viola Davis my favorite!!!
Hey what happened to Samuel. L. Jackson
Kathy Bates played the unsinkable Molly Brown in Titanic as well.
I love 💕 Harrison Ford in the Indiana Jones movies. Can't wait to see the new one that comes out June 30th
I'm afraid Halle Bailey will make into that list because of the "The Little Mermaid" backlash.
The movie score is already pretty high by audience votes, so I doubt it. I’m happy people say it’s a good movie
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger Get my vote especially Stallone he did Party at Kitty and Studs (a porno movie) before creating and starring in 1976's Rocky
Pre-Rocky Stallone has a bit part in Woody Allen's Bananas as a thug also he was in an Kojak as a rookie cop.
Would like to see a list ‘stars who’s careers didn’t take off after being on the Disney Channel’
Try to do deleted scenes from Wizard of Oz. My favorite is "The Jitterbug "
I feel very bad for them!
Bryan Cranston was the perfect role for Walter White!⚗️
Just as long as your doing something you love thats what matters.
Every actors and actress to hollywood they are really have ups and downs to success it they ever give up a
Another list that Melanie Lynskey should've been included in.
What about paul giamatti? Hw said on the jay leno ahow he went through 1000 auditions. It was that 1001 audition that got him into the industry! 😅
THE VIOLA DAVIS 🙌🙌🙌🙌✨
Viola Davis had plenty of roles before 'doubt' fool.
What about Sylvester Stallone?
What!!! You make this list and don't include George Cloney. Not my favorite guy but take a look at 80s television -that not being enough he even appeared in The Return of the Killer Tomatoes
Not true - Bradley copper was first in Wet Hot American Summer
Not her pronouncing it GaudouT
🙊🤯💕😍😁💝
Doesn't everyone struggle to break into Hollywood? It's not that big of a deal as some people started through theater and/or television before having major success through television and/or film. I admired that they got their big break and kept preserving through their professional and/or personal issues.
Yes but some people have it harder than others like Taraji P. Henson and the late Chadwick Boseman
Chris Pratt should have a honorable mention. He was stripper before he broke into Hollywood.
Only struggled, or struggled and made it?
As much as I like Melissa McCarthy, do you know how many times in my life I've had less than $5.00 in my bank account?? If that's something notable, then bring on my fame, y'all! 😂😂
Roseanne.
