As an AFV modeler I was building Gundams back in the day. I usually didn’t follow the color scheme while I paint my Gundams but man you made a nice camo for this one. Cheers

I love the departure from the norm Rick. I enjoy this channel because of the variety and willingness to do something different. A number of channels continue to stick to common themes and subjects. I realize that may be beneficial to statistics and CZcams growth, but true modellers that embrace multiple themes and the hobby as a whole truly appreciate your approach. Unfortunately the bank does not accept appreciation as payment… 😂

Very cool rendering of the Z’Gok. The buddy building idea is also very nice especially when you compare ideas and techniques. Being both a scale and gunpla modeler I enjoy both processes, their differences and similarities. I’m very impressed by this project and subscribed to your channel.

This one is a hard left turn. It never hurts to try something completely different so it was nice to see this. I've never built a Gundam although I am tempted by some of the MaK kits.

You say "this is not what a Gunpla builder would do", but quite honestly, I really enjoyed your take on Gunpla kits. And as you might have learned from Cobrapla, I bet they also took something away from your build. I know that I did. I really like the mesh wire in the chest and the muted color scheme. The red and golden details make for great eyecatches. Jumping into Part 2 now.

Looks awesome mate, can't wait to see it all weathered up, when you first mentioned it being good for naval use, the old Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm scheme of extra dark sea grey over white popped into my head, sort of thing you might see on a Sea Vixen or a Fleet Air Arm Phantom, but I do like the colour scheme you created here

Looks great Rick!!! I can't wait to see the weathering and the base. I've never weathered anything that color and think thats going to be great. I also love the orange highlights. I have a different Gundam that Josh gave me and I'm looking forward to building it, probably desert, and I definitely need a cape on him like General Grievous!!!

Makes me think it might be a future Naval mine removal Robot with its shears on its arms to cut the cables that hold the water mines under water and then grab them to bring out of the water. So a diorama comes to mind that perhaps a huge crane is on a dock lowering or raising it out of the water and some sailors operating the crane ? Just my thoughts.

@RickLawlerPropaganda so i was checking out how to start soldering my PE but i dont have a soldering iron yet ore anything. Now i saw this pinecil soldering iron you think this would be a good one for soldering PE?
I've not use that type, and so I really can't comment on it. I've always used inexpensive 30/40w irons and they work fine for me.
