I finally reveal the finished Hardscape of my new #60x50x40 scape and I get to plant it. I'm using a whole lot of plants, but most importantly I'm combining the 3 best foreground carpeting plants for beginners:
    • Micranthemum 'Montecarlo' rebrand.ly/mmontecarlo *
    • Marsilea crenata rebrand.ly/mcrenata *
    • Eleocharis mini rebrand.ly/e_mini *
    (full plant list further below)
And yes, I also modify the hardscape and explain how to do it yourself and I prepare plants and show you all the little techniques I'm using my self to do it. As always lots of value, tips and tricks along the way.
    Cheers
    Jurijs

Great aquarium Jurijs, we love your plant selection and planting patterns - especially in the foreground. Makes complete sense to plant Eleocharis and Monte Carlo like that - in lines. Even in the nature, some plants will gather along the creeks, while others in open areas. That is something we will certainly use later in our setups. 💡

I really like your videos/tutorials. This one in particular has me wanting to see the one month update to see how the foreground is coming along. I have baby tears in my foreground and have thought about mixing in some hair grass but thought it might be too unorthodox and here your are doing something similar with three foreground plants. So yes, I anxiously await for the one month update on the “Rock Nest” tank.

That's not a very nice feeling ... Honestly ...).
You are a genius, congratulations! I think this aquarium, for me, would be very good with names like "Vision" (in homage to the new vision you give us Aquascape to many) or Buce (this second name is because I love the Bucephalandras)

Lovely scape Jurijs, you know I'm a fan of yours for life! Since you're a professional, is there any plant, rare or otherwise, that you have tried previously and failed/did not get the desired effect/died? Or is it always 100% success for you due to experience? I remember George Farmer mentioned in his video, he doesn't have much luck with "bolbitis difformis", and he will keep on trying (and scaping) until he succeeds. What's yours? Thanks!

Tank name- A Crown of swords ⚔️ - the Rock with the sticks coming from behind kindof look like a crown of the forest to me. And I guess I have the wheel of time book series in my head lately 😜 . Have you read them? Most of the book titles in that series would make great tank names for your style I think.. they are kindof mystical forest kind of names like...”The Shadow Rising” , “Crossroads of Twilight” , “The Gathering Storm”, Towers of Midnight, “A memory of light” ... Hey maybe you could make a series designing a tank for each name! That would be crazy cool. Anyhoo hope that gave you some ideas. Love your vids so much. Thanks for sharing!😀

This is a really beautiful scape Jurijs but somehow I feel this is not very beginner friendly....with the CO2 injection and diffuser this is not only quite harsh budget-wise (which to some is considered not a beginner setup) but also quite challenging to understand. I don't think beginners would understand the significance of CO2 on carpet growth.

I think we have to separate low tech, aka low energy, aka budget friendly and beginner friendly. There are beginners who don't have a tight budget and start with a high tech right away.
The plants I have used for the carpet are EASY category plants and for this reason beginner friendly. In both high and low tech setups. I hope this makes sense?

Love the scape. I’m a bit confused why you say they’re beginner carpet plants in the title but then say they’re medium difficulty in the video.

Again an awesome tank mate! For fish I'd go with black neon tetras I think, or maybe those x-ray ones. Currently setting up a scape of my own but with 55 liters it's somewhat smaller :) For any commenters who want to critique my hardscape lay-out, feel free to: www.ukaps.org/forum/threads/setting-up-55l-scapers-tank.56083/. Thanks for all of the inspiration, really awesome!

@@JurijsJutjajevs thanks for replying mate, awesome! I'll take your advise and rescape over the weekend leaving more space in the back. Do you keep the slope rising at the back or level it off behind the hardscape?
