I USED TO BE THE BIGGEST WWF FAN EVER,,,,VINCE I THOUGHT BACK THEN WAS THE BIGGEST BUSINESS MAN...I MOVED ON TO UFC GETTING OLDER THEN 13 YRS OLD LIKING TO FIGHT EACH OTHER IN SCHOOLS U KNOW...EVERYONE DOES IT NOW A DAYS...BUT IN OUR DAY GROWING UP IN THE 90S WHEN THE MMA SPORT REALLY CAME TO LIGHT....WAS ONE OF THE BEST TIMES OF THE FIGHTS OF ALL TIME....LISTEN U KNOW WE'VE ALL SEEN UFC FIGHTS ALONE THAT PUT SOME OF THE BIGGEST BOXING LEGEND FIGHTS EVER....UFC IS THE FUTURE PERIOD DANA = BEAST
DANA WHITE U R THE MAN. THANKS 4 ENTERTAINING US AND FOR BEING SUCH A DOWN TO EARTH COOL GUY. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. WE GOT YOUR BACK HERE DOWN UNDER. HOPE U BRING MORE HARDCORE FIGHT CARDS DOWN UNDER.
You gotta pay some respect to the camera man though haha, love when he pulls in at 5:54 and puts the pressure on Dana, got Dana stuttering & uncomfy as he was obviously caught off guard with alistair's comments, and you can tell he was hiding something that happened.
Ariel Helwani may be the only real Reporter. He's Smart, He's Well Spoken, He's has great questions and always pushes the anwswers in the most respectful way. I SALUTE YOU SIR.
Dana knows Vince is a master at dominating his whole sport. So it doesn't surprise me that Dana went to Vince for some advice. Dana is a master himself for make the UFC rise to the top and completely destroying all the other companies. Vince did the same thing during the WWF's rise to power. This is why they respect each other greatly.
@spaniardmale77 I'm aware Anderson gets some sort of PPV bonus in addition to his fight purse, which is why he usually doesn't get a win bonus. I haven't been able to find specifics on what this deal is, only wild speculation. Where did you find the figures? I'd love to see them for myself. Thanks bud. "Only based salary" for Tito is 450,000. How nice of him to give away his ppv revenue, what a guy. Anyway, details aside, Rashad/Tito seems a great matchup, hard to call who wins.
@bosnianpro1 then why did you say and i quote "jones would of kicked his ass" implying that they were to fight, if you meant if he were to fight jones then why didn't you say that in the first place. Kind of misleading..
Hey Ariel, you should get a pulse on Batista to see if he's still trying to become an MMA fighter. A guy of his size would be very interesting to watch doing his thing in the octagon(Hopefully, not getting killed).
@BrothaSin07 he defeated nogueira in his prime, crocop in his prime, arlovski in his prime, mark coleman in his prime, ricardo arona , babalu sobral i mean those guys were the very best at that time...
@theEdinero Indeed. He should be, but meh, I guess it does boil down to the fighter's management's negotiating skills more than the fighter's fight skills in the big picture. Oh well, I guess that's really between Zuffa, Machida, Ortiz & A.Silva. I'm still stoked to see Ortiz fight Rashad, should be a good scrap.
oh lol......i read the title as Allistair Overeem Meeting with Vince Mcmahon lol.....i knew nothing would happen...but i was still alot more excited until it just ended and i realized i was wrong lol
@ThePostPwner because Machida said he ain't fighting because it was a lot of risk and such a short time for preparation such as Dana wanted him to move to the US right away but his training partners didn't have Visa etc
@TheDubeo Thats cool, sorry didnt read all your comments to see your overall point...I certainly dont hate any fighter period and never judge based on culture...I put "Jap" so I can squeeze in the reply..and some japanese fighters were or are good no question but most of the ones 185 and up were not good..One guy Ive always respected was Sakuraba, he is a legend foresure. Most fans judge on records and that was my point really not saying they didnt fight anyone good.
@DXpac20 Good observation. To be honest I said it because of people saying that Silva was getting his ass whooped when Chael did nothing the whole fight than wrestle.
@theEdinero That is mostly true. But this doesn't really answer the question of why Anderson Silva doesn't get Tito Ortiz money. A. Silva hasn't lost a fight since 2006, Tito has won only ONE fight since 2006. If Machida didn't get the fight because he isn't worth A. Silva money, it doesn't make sense to give the fight to somebody who is asking for more than double that amount. Either way, its a decent matchup, Rashad hasn't fought in a long time, and last time Rashad & Tito met it was a draw.
This sums it up - Dana just sings Silva's praises for his achievements - then Helwani points out Siva's base wage was $129K when you consider that a fighter typicaly trains for about 3 months for a fight - with all the trainers/training fee's medicals etc etc - that is nothing for all the blood sweat and tears.
@piratebri Dana said that they did not come back with we want a little more of this, or some of that, or some more money to do this bc its short notice...they directly said... "WE WANT ANDERSON SILVA money" after they agreed to it 4 days before. And if u are confused, machida has also acknowledge that they directly came out and asked for anderson silva money. Meaning that they tried a big time negotiating ploy bc they thought they had Dana at a bad spot. They did not say, double our salary etc.
@BarackMcBush Its not actually a rule. Its just something he says to make the fighters fight hard. The bottom line is if the fighter has a lot of fans and puts on exciting fights he'll stay. This is a smart move by Dana. Look how well it worked on Tito.
Dana and Vince have a great respect for each other because they are of the same breed of business man. Ruthless. Triple H's comments recently was such a dumb move and out of respect for Vince, All Dana had to say about it was "It seems his father in law is finally letting him talk in public. He'll learn soon not to say stupid shit like that". Instead of bashing the WWE he just gave a jab at Triple H. I think one day we'll see the UFC and WWE working together in some form.
I have a love hate relationship with Dana. At first I liked him then started to hate him and now I am starting to really like him lol. THANK YOU DANA FOR UFC 137!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ThatKidMTL23 Pride may have had big events as far as attendance, but they never came close in PPV buys which is where the company makes most of the money...The only guy who got more in strikeforce was Hendo..Diaz will be making the same if not more in the UFC...Saying Anderson is the only guy getting paid what he's worth tells me you know nothing..GSP-2.6 mil last fight..Lesnar-5.4 mil last 2...Couture-12mill last 4..Chuck-17 mil last 4..forget fight purse..ppv bonus covers most of that.
Machida didn't want "Anderson Silva money." He wanted 200k. Anderson makes 200k base, but he also makes PPV cut and likely locker-room bonuses from Dana for a good performance. The bulk of Anderson's purse comes from the PPV cut. Machida is NOT asking for PPV cut... just the 200k. Dana completely got this wrong.. and is only making it worse by claiming Machida is disrespecting Anderson. They are very close friends, I doubt Anderson feels disrespected at all with Machida. Get a clue Dana.
@TheJonBlank hahaha. Please What the Serra fight did to GSP is make him a more tactical (safer) fighter. Respect is important. Kinda like the respect that Dos Santos showed Carwin. He def stuck to his game plan there. But until someone shows that they can handle Jon Jones' unpredictable fighting style, the way he uses his reach, his athleticism, and his wrestling he doesn't need to lose to be a better fighter. He rises to challenges. His fight with Shogun was his best performance
@TheDubeo he isnt a top striker compared to the klitschkos though. he never said he wasnt a top striker in mma but in boxing he is right to say he isnt a top striker. and hasnt he had arguements with silva?
@Garuda1337 dude, they didnt offer him fighting Machida again, they offered him that sweedish guy and he said 'no' because he wants to fight top notch guys like Machida.
lol funny how in retrospect Gustaffson now is 10x a bigger draw than Franklin. Not to disrespect him, because of course in 2011 things were much different.
@chingon711 He makes 300,000 if he loses each fight in the year he makes 600,000 if he wins each fight in the year add bonus's on top of that he's making somewhere between 600,000-750,000 if he wins which i believe that he will.
but Brock already returned to the WWE and then left(but him leaving may be kayfabe) but there's some rumors he might return to the UFC since he was on UFC 146 i think he was there to see either frank mir getting his ass kicked or maybe to see what challenge he would have in case he actually got to fight JDS
@dukeslaps Good point but I still think he's partly right. Those moments when Werdum did stand up, he had a few moments when he was actually winning exchanges. Sure, he'd pull guard right away, but even those few seconds where he was winning or at least hanging in there, he made Overeem look bad. Either way though, Overeem should not become a boxer.
@oddityification I know they didnt... Where in my message did i say they fought?? I only tried to tell that Rashad had better wins over Bonnar and griffin.
@nizepart0519 it would depend on who hes fighting but i imagine pacquiao being quick on his feet so it would probly be hard to take him down unless hes fighting an ncaa wrestler then ya he'd get taken down
I wonder what him and Vince McMahon were talkin about. I always thought somethin cool could happen if the two of them were able to work together on a side project.
it would be CRAZZZZYYYY if somehow tito ortiz beats rashad ,gets who ever loses from rampage and jones beats one of em gets a title shot and defends the title at least once !!!!
rampage is my favourite ufc fighter and personality, even though he's seen his best days if jones gets cocky standing he eat a big punch and no one can take a solid rampage hook or uppercut, i like jones though, y isn't rashad fighting jones seen as he rank 1?
@Bestmoviealive It's a universal idea, that's he's the goat. Almost all the major publications listed him as the greatest mixed martial artist that ever lived! I'm not saying, that can't be challenged, and i'm sure in the future, things wil change, and maybe Anderson Silva might take that stop. But as of now, he is universally known as the best! And he was unbeaten for 10 years, so this idea is quite accurate. Most ppl who like Fedor watched him since 2001! Trust me they know more than u!
@signboyy I hope Fedor can replace him! That would be a little better. But yeah you're right. Overeem dropping out, really stinks up the competition! But there still is Bigfoot Silva, Josh Barnett, and kharitonov. So it'll be decent!
@HellspawnICX Anderson should be the highest payed man in the game. It's sad to say but being Brazilian doesn't really help you in negotiations- it's unfortunate, but true. I guess Tito did a good job negotiating his contract; all his beef with Dana has been over monies, so that tells you something.
@HellspawnICX Tito is a bigger draw as far as PPV goes, imo. Not to mention he is a former LHW champ who defended the belt 5 times and can arguably be lumped into the all time great list. Machida isn't there yet.
They seem so friendly...feels like a lifetime ago
Top right corner 2:30
hey bro do u remember making this comment?
man i love these dana white interviews - so much good info.
I think it's awesome that a fighter's standing in the UFC is related to Dana White's relationship with them. Fairest thing ever.

I love the way Dana says he hurt his toe at 6:15
You gotta pay some respect to the camera man though haha, love when he pulls in at 5:54 and puts the pressure on Dana, got Dana stuttering & uncomfy as he was obviously caught off guard with alistair's comments, and you can tell he was hiding something that happened.
not afraid to ask the tough questions either!
So true what Dana say's about the 'Anderson Silva Money' situation.
Ariel Helwani may be the only real Reporter. He's Smart, He's Well Spoken, He's has great questions and always pushes the anwswers in the most respectful way.
I SALUTE YOU SIR.
Gustafsson vs rich Franklin wow that would have been an interesting match up.
Thank you dana white Boxing & MMA, two different sports. Boxing Bout: MMA fighter vs Boxer, Winner Boxer. MMA bout: Randy vs Toney, Winner Randy
@JKCNinety have silva and gsp fought???

GR8 INTERVIEW
"Listen" - Dana White
nice video length. leet!
Hey Ariel, you should get a pulse on Batista to see if he's still trying to become an MMA fighter. A guy of his size would be very interesting to watch doing his thing in the octagon(Hopefully, not getting killed).
@dangflo
Good point.
I only wonder now why he would show that he pays Tito more than Silva.
@BrothaSin07 he defeated nogueira in his prime, crocop in his prime, arlovski in his prime, mark coleman in his prime, ricardo arona , babalu sobral i mean those guys were the very best at that time...
i want to see carlos condit vs urijah faber
@theEdinero Indeed. He should be, but meh, I guess it does boil down to the fighter's management's negotiating skills more than the fighter's fight skills in the big picture. Oh well, I guess that's really between Zuffa, Machida, Ortiz & A.Silva. I'm still stoked to see Ortiz fight Rashad, should be a good scrap.
Hurry up and get Overeem into the UFC already, we all want to see it!
Looking back over 10 years, what an interesting fight Rich Franklin vs Gus would’ve been….
oh lol......i read the title as Allistair Overeem Meeting with Vince Mcmahon lol.....i knew nothing would happen...but i was still alot more excited until it just ended and i realized i was wrong lol

i like dana, he shoots straight, does not play politics
Damn I wish I coulda been a fly on the wall in Mcmahons office with Dana, I wanna know what they were talking about.
Ariel Helwani is such a good interviewer. Love his style.
Dana is the man.
Ariel good job dude! Keep up the good work! GO RAMPAGE!

@wildwolves8 he's in the conversation for sure. hasn't had a real loss in 7 years and is the longest reigning champ in UFC history
@BrothaSin07 Did you see what he did to Ray Mercer's fist though?
Will Jason "Mayhem" Miller be in UFC Undisputed 3?
Nice beard helwani. Looking sharp.

@AQGOAT24 In boxing the guy who is "Ranked #1" is the #1 contender and the Champion is the just called the Champion.
@DgraymanKicksAss not really because you said that they use razor blades, and i said that it's not 1985 anymore. when they bleed it's REAL blood.
who is HBO?
@4pples he didnt stutter at all? what are you talking about
GO GSP.. GO CANADA GO!!. MAKE US CANADIANS PROUD GSP IN OCTOBER!!!
Ariel always got the great interviews!!

Rich Franklin vs Shogun Rua
please put tito ortiz vs. chael sonnen(move up to 205)
i more interested in their shit talking to each other...

Dana White for president!!!
Vince wants in on ufc and to story the fights i bet...
@Bestmoviealive It's a universal idea, that's he's the goat. Almost all the major publications listed him as the greatest mixed martial artist that ever lived! [most famous quote]..........." we'll see what happens " - dana white
@thommelorus
Manny Gamburyan knocked out Jorge Santiago, but thats neither here or there?
Ariel should plunder the mini bar
@charliemant who?

@ThePostPwner well, according to dana machida wanted silva kinda money
@HellspawnICX Tito is a bigger draw as far as PPV goes, imo. Not to mention he is a former LHW champ who defended the belt 5 times and can arguably be lumped into the all time great list. Machida isn't there yet.
@bosnianpro1 You mean Rashad would have kicked his ass, he was fighting Rashad Evans not Jones...
Rich Franklin vs. Phil Davis? Thumbs up if it would be a good match up.
@TheDubeo While I agree with you to an extent, Overeem would not stand a chance against either of the Kiltchkos or Haye for that matter.
