    I discovered these models on Google when I was in 7th or 6th grade and I always wanted to know about the website I seen it and it looked like it just been abandoned

      Nope, it's not abandoned. It gets updated every Saturday with 7 free models for everyone who has an active Magic Keys subscription. WHy do you say it looks like it's abandoned?

      @@chipfyn1 I actually just looked at the website and yeah I see it now anyways you kind of can see how the website is kind of looking really old and how Google says it's not a secure website but now I see it is active

      @@chipfyn1 Sure did. I'll be exploring Monday morning before me and my handicapped son go out for yard work. He loves to watch me work-maybe because I play Beach Boys and CCR while I work. Its time to share some creations with my grandkids.

      It's called packing tape, or sometimes packaging tape.

      What if you did both? You could have the clear packing tape canopy on the outside and the tin foil on the inside. Sounds interesting.

    I've watch this a few months back and it is a really good technique despite I'm using cardstock (160 GSM) but it made my sopwith camel model luminated though, thanks btw.

    When you buy a template from the website does it give you instructions on how to make it?

      Yes. Most of the models come with an instruction sheet, which is a basic diagram of how the parts fit together. It helps to have a picture of how the paper model is supposed to look when it's done. A lot of the building models had that printed on the back of the postcard before the internet was around.

      There is also another method that Bob Lutz is working on using a vacuum and heat formed plastic. It is great for the more curved shapes on a clear canopy for a paper model.

    I wondered that too,but as I watched when he cut the tabs out on the 1st layer of tape it left gaps.then when he taped the back the cut gaps where now sticky. Smart.

    You know, these folks were dealing with here like to build static paper models, but a fair amount has opened their eyes into incorporating micro r/c and stufff into these small paper models and may also apply a small amount of depron foam. I don`t think it`s "all that" but it is modelling, and i like modelling. Both plastic and r/c. I`m even contemplating doing a few of these fiddling paper models. fourmost the Caproni Stipa "flying barrel" as these odd birds are somewhat amusing to me ;-)
