I thought I knew the infotainment display pretty well as we’ve had our Formentor VZ (NZ Spec = Aus VZx 👍🏻) for a month now. The double tap to make full screen and 2 fingers on temp settings to control heated seats! 🤯 great tip! Most other things I’ve figured out by trial and error. Keep up the good work!
Thanks heaps, this is super helpful. Picking up my Formentor today and this is definitely going to be a huge help with prepping me for the two displays. I'm getting a non-VZx so knowing I can add the driver profile widget is great!
Great vid, very useful. QUESTION: What's the fastest way to switch between two android phones? And it seems that it's possible to have the car connected to both? I had one phone connected in Android Auto and the other phone was still showing as connected on the main driver display. Would be great to know the easiest/fastest way to switch between two phones when both me and my wife are in the car.
Hey mate I have realised that the home button along with other menu such as air con are on the right hand side just like how it is in Europe for right side drivers. For us in Australia who is driving on the left hand side, it is a bit far to reach out. Is there a way to change this and make it on the left hand side for an easy access while driving?
Hi Cameron. Thanks for this video mate 👍 I have a problem... When I go to set up my widgets on the driver display screen, the left and right toggle buttons only change the settings at the top middle of the screen I.e driver assist, media etc, but don't select the left and right widgets. Anything you can help with? Cheers mate 👍
Thanks, how do you make the light bar stay on when you have the lights set to auto please? I have just took delivery of the Leon Cupra and it will only activate if I turn my headlights or DRL on to manual mode. As soon as I turn the headlights back to auto mode the LED lighting turns off.
I have this car in the VZ2 310 bhp version, yes it's a good car but that infotainment system is full of bugs and does some weird stuff like not letting you enter the car, or it can make random phone calls to even slamming the brakes on for no apparent reason whatsoever as just a few examples. VW know about this problem as it's a similar problem across their range of cars fitted with this infotainment system but the Formentor has many electrical niggles that need sorting, what are VW doing about it? Very little.
What would you rate the infotainment system in terms of bugs? I'm contemplating buying this car but the only thing holding me back is all I've heard about the infotainment system having so many bugs. Any thoughts please?
Is there any way to disable the lane assist permanently? It's not helpful when there are a lot of parked cars in my area. Also the AC controls in the rear seats is bugged. Only after a full reset does it work and then only for a few days.
I am the primary user of my Cupra Formentor on start up it welcomes me I click ok then 30 seconds later it pops back up saying changing user settings how can I stop this?

Really good to know about the incremental cruise control speed increase/decrease using Set and Reset buttons

Thanks Cameron. Where those purple lights thqt i could see back lights for the sliders?
These are the Infrared Sensors i guess. You can only see them through the camera.

Do you have to pull up in a lay bye to operate this whilst driving.
