Ok the video clip is absolutely low budget 80's ridiculous! Love it! The song..perfect! Amon really nailed it once again!
Saw them for the 4th time when they played with Cannibal Corpse, Lamb of God, and Slayer and I can definitively say that their stage performance gets better and better every time I see them! I'm hoping for a long career of touring around because these guys are genuinely nice and hilarious/entertaining at their live shows. Don't pass up a chance to see them if you can.
Every SINGLE time i listen to Amon Amarth my imagination goes crazy with honor-type stories, featuring Vikings, dragons and mythology things.

But wasn't it created as a result of Loki stealing Sifs hair. Thor made him get it replaced immediately. So Loki tricked Hivaldis boys to go against Brok and Sindri in a competition for best craftsmanship. Brok and Sindri just ended up making Mjolner.
Ok first yes that happened and in the process he also made odins spear and one other item i cant remember but then loki made a bet that they couldnt make anything as fine as those 3 things so they accepted and made 3 more one being Mjolnir but while he was making it Loki in the form of a fly bit brok on the eyelid and thats why the handle came out "too short" yada yada yada

Saw then live when I was 15 (last year) and everyone there was so nice and friendly and I met a few people who protected me from the mosh pit. METALHEADS ARE GOOD PEOPLE!!!. Over all this band is just as good live as they are in their videos, if not even better!
Apparently the Metal community are some of the most genuinely nice folks out there. It's because they are all just a bit geeky and shy, and like to dress up to look like they are tough. But, they have that gooey sweet center.
Remember, if you keep going to Amon Amarth concerts, you will have to ROW!

bruhment Mjolnir in myth is just really, really, really fucking heavy. Thor as an Aesir needs magic items that make him stronger to use it. Vanir(giants) have been able to pick it up in groups though.
Thor with his magic armor is one of the few creatures known who can wield it by himself and actually use it in battle.
They really have managed to keep the standard up while getting more melodic and keeping that gravelly feel despite seriously groovy and catchy riffs. They really have grown on me over the years amazing band.

Some norse/germanic dudes went and got themself hired as sell swords to persians and there are accounts of germanic mercenaries in china. One temple in some place in the east had "unknown scripts" chiseled into stone and for the longest part noone knew what they meant. Turned out it was norse futhark (runes) and basically said something like "sven was here". People traveled far and wide especially in the viking age.
