Sign languages use a dominant hand and a supporting hand. If you’re left handed, your dominant would be your left, right handed it would be your right. It doesn’t matter which is your dominant hand as long as you don’t change it as this would be confusing and could change some signs altogether! In bsl its especially important as a lot of signing uses both hands but I really wouldn’t know if it affects asl or isl as much because I don’t really have any experience with those.
