Hi Conner! Thank you for this vídeo! Have a blessed week!
I had lived in Uzbekistan for a long time and felt earthquake many times a year, especially in the springs. When it had happened the first time I was really scared, I couldn't move at all. People who lived on the high floors realized that they didn't have enough time to run out and they tried to be safe by staying in the doorways.
Sounds scary!

Thankfully, I've never experienced any of these natural disasters before.
Firstly, I am grateful for you to your hard work and delegence. I always listen to your videos and practice my English. I've felt what it is an earthquake.if my memory doesn't let me down it was approximately 2015 years (in my childhood)
There was one earthquake in the midnight when everybody has a good sleep. I live in Urals, so we hadn't had a lot of disasters. No floods, no hurricanes, no tornados. Just a semi-cold winters.
I have lucky enough to have good nature condition.i hope everyone to give a hand to protect the environment❤
Thankyou a lot
You're welcome!
I understand 60%
I live in Naples, we witness earthquakes pretty frequently because of the activity of our volcano, the Vesuvius. Actually, that is the scariest natural disaster for us!
Im living Turkey.I experienced the earthquake 6 February 2023.50.000 people died
I've lived in Thailand, one of the most free-disaster countries in the world, for my whole life so I've only experienced big windy whether occasionally.
I think the most scariest natural disaster can be an earthquake, even though I've never experienced one of them because in Venezuela is not usual, the only common disaster is flood.
Ohh I see
I live in the north of Mexico, and here, the the scariest disasters are hurricanes, one of the most famous is "ODILE". I was not here when it happened but people told me that ODILE caused a lot of damage. Well, where I was living which is in the south of Mexico, there´s a variety of natural disasters, like earthquakes, floods and wildfires. In Mexico, September is known as an earthquakes month, cause the probably of happen one is high. We are surrounded by active tectonic plates. Even when this month is coming up people usually sleep with clothes cause we don´t what time the tectonic plates will say you "hello" and people usually buy "bolillos" to take out the fear.
that was just happened in indonesia especially in my City Palu Central Sulawesi (on 25 September 2018), earthquake with around 9 magnitude we can't even stand up strightly, Tsunami, liquefaction at the same time. so many people died, and dead bodies everywhere, it feels almost like a dead city the smell of dead bodies is everywhere. my cousin are missing until now because the liquefaction can't find her body until now, it's not only my family, everyone feels the same part of their family is also missing until now, we can't find any even just a piece of clothing they use.
thanks for the lesson today teacher Conner!
it's very useful for me escpecially for the new vocabulary and improving my listening skill that i get from your videos! stay safe and healthy! See you on your next lesson :)
I'm so sorry to hear that! And you're welcome!
I'm so sorry about you, I think it was a difficult time in your city
@@hamid9691 it's fine

The scariest natural disaster I soffered was a forest fire. The mountain village where we lived was evacuated and we had to escape from the fire front. Fortunately, Emergency Teams could extinguish the fire and nothing serious happened to buildings or people, although the same cannot be said for the woods.
I love you
I've only ever experienced a smaller tornado, which posed only little damage
I've never been in a natural disaster but i remember the mortal rains of decembre 1999 in the city of Vargas, Venezuela. Ir rain for days until the parts of the mountain fall down and destroied hundred of houses and died hundred of people. Was a terrible disaster tha we still remember every time that rains a lot
Good
Nice
Yes, In Mexico City.
I live in Turkey. I have experienced earthquake when i was living in İstanbul. The magnitude of earthquake almost 5,5. It was so scary. At last days, it happened in Kahramanmaras city which located in southern in Turkey. It affected ten city, more than 10.000 building collapsed or heavy damaged, and unfortunately, according to official statement, 32.000 people died. The figures of death people are going to rise because process is continuing.
more than 50 000 people died
My scariest disaster is volcano eruption because it can vaporize me in just seconds and it leaves harmful substances to the air like carbon dioxide and etc. I’ve never experienced before but when it erupts, the area around them may take a very long time to recover.
I live in Azerbaïdjan and I've never seen these natural disasters

@@listeningtimepodcast thanks
I have been in many minor earthquakes and also many floods.
Me too!
My scariest disaster is earthquake, it happened to me once but it was very terror, and I've experienced floods before, it was very catastrophic because it damaged the whole street
Actually I've never experienced natural disasters, they might've been minor for me. Definitely, there were no earthquakers, tornadoes and hurricanes. Speaking of floods, they were where I live although that wasn't important for me. It goes without saying that I'm lucky. These things I know are dreadful. Meanwhile I wanted to thank the author for your awesome lessons.
I think that hurricanes are the most terrifying 😥😬😵😵
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think in the eruptions of volcanoes.
The scariest disaster I have it in my life is earthquake happened in egypt and many people leave thier homes and go out in the street and then we lost many people at this time about 10000 death and lost alot of buildings. Although we helped us that day and try to decrease the consequences of that disaster.
I've never seen natural disasters, cause I live in east Europe, but in the 1950's in my town was a small earthquake
For me erthquake it’s the scaritest
To my mind a tornado is the most scariest to me. However hurricanes and earthquakes have the second place in the list. I live in Ukraine and thankfully we don`t have there hurricanes and tornados or notable floods. But sometimes we have some floods in spring.
I live in UZBEKISTON
My county is good weather but Tashkents' big problem is air pollution
So today I’m going to talk about nature disasters. This is an interesting topic because depending on where you live, you might have to deal with natural disasters on the regular basis. Let’s go through some of the most notable disaster that occur throughout the world.
First let’s talk about earthquake. For a lot of people this might just be the scarcest disaster because it can strike at any moment without any notice. That’s being said, the vast majority of earthquakes are minor and cause little to no damage. As a California native, I’ve obviously witnessed my share of earthquakes but I’ve only ever really experienced one major earthquake. It just so happens when I was at the gym and when the earthquake started, all the weights and machines started shaking. I was definitely a little freaked out but that’s really the only time I’ve been in a big earthquake. If you live in the certain parts of the world, you might never have experienced an earthquake in your whole life. For example , my brazilin students usually tell me that they’ve never been in an earthquake before. But on the other hand, my students from Chile and Japanese tell me that they feel the earthquake almost every weeks. For most of us, that seems insane, and what’s about you. Have you ever been in an earthquake before ?
Ok so now let’s talk about hurricanes. Hurricanes can be some of most destructive events imaginable. Take hurricane Katrina, for instance. This category five hurricane absolutely devastated the city of New Orleans and cause almost 2000 deaths and over 125 dollars in damage. Of course not all hurricanes are this catastrophic but all hurricanes cause some damage when they hit land. Thankfully I’ve never been affected by hurricanes before since I’m from the west coast in the US which is never affected by hurricanes. But for people live the south and east coasts. These storm pose a constant threat. I can’t imagine what it would feel like to know that there is hurricane headed straight to my direction. I hope I never find out.
Alright, another natural disaster that can cause all kinds of damage is a tornado. Tornadoes are phenomenon that happen in the middle of the US, in state like Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska where the landscape is really flat. You might’ have seen the tornados featured in the American movies before where the people have to take shelter underground and wait for the tornado pass by their town. I’m glad that I’ve never gotten caught in the path of the tornado before.
Alright, one more natural disaster that affect people all over the world is floods. Flood can happen in all kind of different places. If you live in a city that doesn’t have a high lever infrastructure it’s likely that you have seen some flooding before. In Mexico for example, many parts of the big cities flooded every time there’s heavy rain. The part of the city are lower altitude become like lakes and rivers and drivers have a hard time navigating. Sometime the cars just stop and waiting for the rain to subside and for the water to clear out. As you can imagine, the traffic becomes a completed mess. I really hate the rainy season in Mexico because all of this is a normal occurrence. Floods may not be the scariest natural disaster but they can be a huge inconvenience and they can become dangerous.
Which natural disaster seem the scariest to you ?
İt was really hard
ı had been seen a earthquake about 7.8
All those,I never have been experienced natural disasters
Most devastating natural disasters in my opinion are earthquake and tsunamis
Ya nos expusisteeee jjajaja 😓🇲🇽
I came from the scariest disaster wich is the earthquake d. that's happened in Turkey lately 😢
Personally the earthquake is the worst thing
Субтитры можно русские
I have never been in the disasters, but I think they’re horrible.
war also includes natural disasters …tbh
I've never been in natural disaster, like He said Brazil haven't natural disaster, just floods
There was an earthquake in my city and I was sleeping so I didn't feel it.
I can't guess which one is more horrible. I live in egypt which there isn't any natural disasters in here. الحمد لله
I am Indian so I always ready for nature disaster
I haven’t seen ever natural disasters
i don't know how to sighn teacher😮?
