  • @songjohn
    @songjohn Před 4 lety +5

    I've hatched some cresties and was curious about few things that caught my attention.
    I once hatched two clutchmate cresties at pretty high temperature(about 28degree celcius) and they came out both as a harlequin+pretty strong dalmatian. The parents had few dalmatian spots as well, but the offsprings showed much more than the parents. After then, it became winter and I hatched 4 more cresties at low temperature(about 23C, same parents), and they showed much less dalmatian spots so far. So my question#1 is, does dalmatian trait show off more at higher hatching temperature?
    And question #2 is, do clutchmates have very similar traits? My first two clutchmates both came out as harlequin+dalmation, then next was both harlequins, then last was both pinstripe harlequins. All the clutchmates had similar traits except their base color, which was usually different.

The eggs started very white and still are but there seems to be a slight hue to them. Not sure if it’s a gecko baby inside or not. No mold. Should I candle them now that I know we can gently handle them?
