Spotted a early sixties trials section called slabs I rode it a few times
Superb. Thanks for uploading this great footage.
Great set of videos....
I love the guy who throws the hand full of mud at the photographer and motions for him to come help get his bike out of the bog he is stuck in.
Thanks!!!
MZ!
Thank you for the video.
Those were and are literally rallies for motorcycles with old rally system (mostly ride from point to point in control time and some special stages). Germans and Czecholoslovakkians dominated ISDT in 60s.
I love 2 strokes..ring dings..they were first called by desert racers. It did not take long to figure out how superior they were in power to weight ratio. I am reminded how different riding styles were in those days. Theye were not standing as much on the pegs and using body english like todays enduro and desert riders. Some of it was motorcycle some of it was rider and people imitated what the better riders did then. I used castor bean oil in my Greeves Challenger and I can still smell it.
Well 8 years ago I was nearly killed in a crash (and I am still paying the consequences), so motorcycle videos don't generally fill me with joy, but this video is excellent. Ta
