- Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.0 introduces NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 and Path Tracing. DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction improves overall image quality. The game is running in RED Engine and now has truly INSANE GRAPHICS! We played the game with RTX 4090, 4K monitor, DLSS 3.5, Path Tracing and Quality Mode.
The free Cyberpunk 2.0 update brings some massive changes to the base game that players can enjoy alongside the expansion, from a brand new perks system to improved police AI.

How much FPS ??
Pathtracing and the ambient occlusion that naturally comes with it is just nuts. PLaying this game at highest setting in 4K at the moment and this game looks ridiculously good.
To me it looks "OK" but there are much better looking games imho.
@@Battleneter Not when it comes to illumination. Pathtracing is king and there is no game that comes even close to the illumination of CP 2077.

@@dkm4567Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece and will probably go down as the greatest open world game ever made but unfortunately it's slowly starting to show it's age. Look at Alan Wake 2 with path tracing, it's insane how much graphics have improved.

I really wish they (or someone) would do an online game like how to the GTA private servers work. Where there isn't any preprogrammed content - just the city and the players who live in it. And everyone just does whatever they want to do.

Wow, looks amazing! I play „only“ on Xbox SX in Perfomance Mode and it looks great….but the Pathtracing is next Level.
New police system is so much better omg. This was the most immersion breaking thing about the game for me! Waiting for the DLC!
This game with PT looks so good that I cannot believe we have this at last. This is a freaking milestone in gaming.

So I have my 4080 pc hooked up to my 4k 55” Samsung, and I’m able to get max settings with a steady +60fps the entire time. Looks incredible!
What are your settings for DLSS etc? I got around 40 fps all the time on 4K with all much but DLSS on quality.
Visual design of this game is just fantastic
Ray Tracing does have some great reflections but can also be too perfect like a mirror, however i do think the lighting found in rasterization still looks better in my opinion. Everything looks bland and washed out with Ray Tracing, there just isn't enough shadows and everything looks much more gradient when it comes to light shading. I know Cyberpunk was never intended to use Ray Tracing until after its release and handles the engine addon extremely well. It does show when you compare screen shots side by side between Ray Tracing and Rasterization technologies, allot of people pick the screen shot of rasterization thinking its Ray Tracing. True fact you can try it yourself, you will be shocked to see the differences not knowing which one is which!
I hope Nvidia is working with the GTA 6 devs like this to add path tracing there too.

I’ve been playing Starfield recently but it looks like Cyberpunk 2.0 is worth a revisit! This looks next gen.

On walk tour 6 can see that path tracking does seem to take into account of volumetrics? The rotating sign is clear and sharpe in the puddle but looking up shows its clouded in fog
Yeah that was the one minor disappointment in the walkthrough that I noticed.
i should of not been cheap and invest more into a 4080, rather than a 4070ti.. i officially have regrets. its a good gpu coming off a 2080 but man. the 80 variant's always satisfy me.

I have the same card and run it maxed out with path tracing and never drop below 60fps (at 1440p resolution)
i've got a 4080 and it's running 160 fps at 1080 with dlss. dunno about 2k or 4k
I have a 4090 and with everything maxed out and no Dlss or frame generation and I get 55 frames average at 4k pathtraycing. I usually just run ultra ray tracing settings at 75 fps. If you want then run frame gen and quality dlss and get 115fps at ultra.

@@mikeestes1076 what 4090 u got man i got msi suprim x and i get 90-100fps in 4k with path tracing everything maxed out and on ultra is more like 140fps
Not much graphical difference on what I played on my 3090... but I am getting the 4090 just for the FPS smooth gaming experience.

The visuals are all stunning. Only thing that I think would make walking the streets more immersive would be adding interactable NPCs like in red dead 2. The NPCs in night city seem so lifeless
As texturas e modelagens deste jogo é excelente, mas as movimentações e física são horríveis. O jogo é extremamente robótico.

Pretty sobering looks for such a strong hardware. Not everyone is fooled by a few blinking billboards and reflections. NPCs, vehicles and interiors still look catastrophic.
Dudes this DLSS 3.5 have a lot of blur and the Details are no more intens like DLSS 2.0 or in OFF Mode. I cannot believe that so many guys apreciate this but you have more FPS but the sharpness and the intensity of Pixels are no more like they must to be in 3840x2160p Resolution. 😮💨
Am I the only one? Those reflections (thanks to RTX tec) like glass mirror reflecting everything with super detailed but not looking realistic. Cars looks like made by glass mirrors. Gloom effects, shadows, otherkind of light interactions with objects are incredibly realistic but those reflections on simple puddles on the roads looks not realistic.
Yeah, it's up to game creators to play with the materials to get not so perfect reflections, in order to get a more realistic result.

played it in 4k without raytracing and honestly, up to the puddle i wouldnt even have noticed the raytracing in this clip. still looks fantastic without unless you compare side by side.
The game looks good without RT but in full path tracing, no kts not even close. The global illumination, rt ambient occlusion, reflections, ray reconstruction, it all looks incredible. Way better than rt off.
@@Vartazian360 not really. I am at 100 comparison screenshots now and the only times raytracing really shines, is with specular reflections. Even on diffuse reflections, it is not ahead. On random screenshots, mostly both look a bit different, but without any clear winner. Quite interesting is, that while with rtx on, many surfaces appear darker. This in fact seems to be a choice and not a feature, as quite often, non rtx also has darker surfaces than raytracing. However, it is not too surprising, as rtx in cyberpunk has been specifically fine tuned, trying to improve the existing looks. So not really an rtx achievement nor a fair fight. Especially considering that i spotted that light sources have been added for rtx and plain white light sources been turned colorful. So yes, those parts looks better, but it has nothing to do with raytracing.
So no. Switching back and forth tons of times, do not show rtx clearly on top. Minor improvements, if any at all, when no specular reflections come into play.
Raytracing will probably still improve a lot in the coming years, but right now it is little more than an nvidia fomo strategy.
Obviously, if you paid for an RTX card, you should turn it on. However if you are on a budget and can't afford a 4090, you get more for your money, buying an RX instead of RTX card. Imho 4090 is the only nvidia gpu worth buying. Although the price is by no means justified

You can't expect much from a game that was released in a messy and rushed way but not be as beautiful as promised.

I quit that game because my rtx 3060 can't handled the ultra settings even in 4k or 2k. I want my games run in ultra or max in 2k or 4k. That why I promise my when I get enought money to buy 40 series I guess..

Path tracing or not, it looks decent but nothing mindblowing. 95% it still looks exactly like it did at launch. Idk why people talking about this game like its some kind of complete remake.

A lot of features were changed/fixed/polished in 2.0 update. Visuals are just nice addition.

P.S. People shouting directly too your ear is weird and just sooooo annoying, hearing theirs convos especially while driving is unreal asf, its destroying the whole immersive world created by outstanding graphic ! 🫤
