- This took about 26 hours worth of attempts to learn, mostly because I'm bad at pattern recognition and learning when to be aggressive. But my god am I glad it's finally over. Oh, and yes, apparently this was an S-rank lol, but I think the game just gives that to you if you win at all.

Technically, if we’re going off Fromsoftware logic, canonically (without player interpretation) this is what bests him, because it (and the G13 AC) is C4-621’s primary AC.
This is beautiful. The music is also perfect for this final showdown.
After 20+ hours of grinding, it definitely felt like doing the impossible.
So this is spiral power, huh? Not bad...

Gurren Lagann is still a masterpiece. I'm gonna do a rewatch of that and Kill la Kill next year.

I think it's more that you're using a very inexpensive loadout for that mission, and thus when the mission calculates your score you end up as S-Rank because you've spent relatively little on ammo, and your expected repair costs being less than it normally would be.
I don't think the repair costs change if you use a different AC, though I do agree about the loadout. Some weapons can be quite expensive to use, especially if you use it all the time. Best example are miniguns or something similar.
I unexpectedly got S rank on this mission using double gats and double stun needle cannons. Idk what the criteria was to get S cause I almost never get S using that build.

Now I'm trying it myself and boy is it a ride. I can get to 3rd phase but badly battered. It's such a gauntlet. A question I have is how consistent is the opener here? That AB into kick into melee. Phase 1 seems the least consistent for me due to the ganksquad, getting that opening down would be nice.
@@dingdongpo it's 100%, I found! Sometimes it just barely connects so you need to be confident and fast on the kick -> melee

I like to think that the canon playthrough of AC6 is one where you pilot your starter AC through the whole game, and end the NG++ game in that same AC

good kill! any tips on dodging his melee slashes, especially in the second phase?
Sometimes if you literally hug him point blank, the melee slashes will miss. If you watch though, I try to always keep a large elevation difference between us! That makes his attacks miss the most.
Phase 3 is like, I barely figured it out after over twenty hours cuz it's hard to get there with a lotta HP. But what I learned is that you want to be either directly over his head or directly under his feet, with as much altitude difference as possible!

@@QuestionableObject yeah i kinda agree. It felt like finding the weird animation exploit thingy that you use vs pontiff sulyvahn in dark souls 3. Consistent and good but not intended.

This kinda sells just how bad ass 621 is considering this is JUST the Starter AC compared to like a uber upgraded later AC.... and yet despite being given a Up To Date And State Of The Art AC? The music is "Libera Me From Hell" from the Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann soundtrack :D it's an old anime, but very good. I highly recommend it if you're into mecha.

They must have patched this fight because Allminds little minions aren't so passive, dancing around the ring allowing you to fight Iguazu 1 on 1 🙄
Lol, take a look at the compass. If you learn their attack patterns (specifically when the sword guys like to lunge) you can utilize vertical movement to mess with their melee tracking. Notice how after I do the opening punish on Allmind, I drop straight down rather than float? That's specifically because the two sword ACs are RIGHT behind me the whole time. They're not being passive, I'm actively evading them without needing to look at them. It was actually one of the more important skills to learn to do phase 1 for me. I think you might just have a skill issue.

@@cpucourage yeah super easily, even without OS tuning. it's mostly a matter of learning to watch when they raise their arms, and also landing lots of charged pulse blade :D

1:50 does the kick always stun him out of the claw attack?
Almost never. When boss stagger bars are almost full though, they get mini-stunned by all sorts of stuff.
I've never seen a kick interrupt him like that before. And his stagger was below 50%. Was it 2 impacts from the AB collision and then the kick?
@@malediction8984 being honest? Not sure. I've played this fight a ton of times and he almost never gets stagger interrupted by kicks

Okay so his blade has a deadzone if you hug his body on that attack. Try it yourself with a smallish AC and you'll see what happened.

the starter AC do not come with that energy burst expension, so techically u are not using a starter ac, and sorry to doubt about it but it look like the jump speed of the ac is higher than the origianl starter ac to me, so I doubt that you have change the boosters
It's the same boosters, that's for sure. You should look at the assault boost speed, boost speed, and quickboost recharge rate and everything will add up perfectly. I have gone back and livestreamed the entire game (minus allmind) without assault armor too :D

For example, here's the toughest regular mission, Defend the Mining Ship. The loader 4 loadout has received several buffs (particularly to speed) so it wouldn't surprise me if this video (from an older patch) looks somewhat different than the current loader 4. For example, when I recorded this video, biped kicks did more damage and stagger than the current patch, which enables the opening I use against Allmind phase 1. Now, the kick doesn't do enough stagger to guarantee that you'll stagger allmind with kick -> blade.
This weekend I plan to grind out Allmind, loader 4, no assault armor. It's the last obstacle before I have finished the run! :D

Oh I'll reinstall and record that in a bit! The key is a LOT of patience in phase 2 and 3. He hits pretty hard on stagger punishes
