Do we have to delete or uninstall old files, or does the installer just overwrite 6.9 version?

Hi ! When I click on "Start mod", the Soulstorm screen appears for a few seconds, then the game closes before I reach the menu.
Any solution?
By pressing "Check for errors", I see 4 "Fatal Data Error" in the "races" folder. I've reinstalled the folder several times and redone the operation, but nothing.

This mods driving me insane when I got it to install it installed a version without witch hunters or tyranid in campaign and then when I tryed to reinstall it is now not downloading the main package just downloads a crdownload file am using moddb

There is rule in the lobby which deactivates the AI, so check if it is off.

It says to me when i install (Warning mod archive Unification. 7z was not found)
So do i need to first install Unification.7z then Installer v7.0.0?
I'm having the same issue anyone know how to fix it ?
You must put the 7z file in the same folder as the installer

After that i had problem with Game crashing when i start skirmish match
It loads on half, music stops and game crashes.
Though i also solved that problem
I dont Know how exactly what solved but i put dow manager and soulstorm game to Run as administrator and i set as Windows Vista in properties (soulstorm )
And i think that solved It.

Same error here. My downloaded file is named "Unification v7.0.0-340-7-0-1712416133.7z" but then i renamed it to just "Unification.7z" and the install progess started and it worked.
Hey there. I have installed just like u did. But when i do start skirmish, there is instant error saying not enough space although i have like 20gb. Does any1 else have the same problem?
It took almost 2 days for me to download zip files. Does it have torrent file btw?

It's a problem with the game engine. It is very old and at its limits.
But you can try one of these things :
Enable LAA.
Close/Disable the Discord App. Its overlay injection messes up the DirectX9 that the game uses and in particular how it handles memory, resulting in RAM crashes and corrupted campaign menus. That is a bug with Discord itself that they do not bother to fix because old game. Using the browser app is safe however.
In your local.ini(inside your Soulstorm folder),have the fullres_teamcolour=0.
For bigger games,have the persistent scarring and bodies to low or off.
If the issue persists on your system,try 6p maps instead of full 8p.This is a memory limit of the engine itself,as it is a 32-bit application.
To gain gain some more free Memory, just leave the AI MapDB wincondition, DISABLED.

One day the crude biomass you call a Soulstorm Engile will wither and you will beg the Simple Solution to save you. But I am already saved. For the LAA is immortal.

I never installed a mod for DoW. Do I only have to download the files and that's it? Is there anything else?
Download the installer and the zip file, put them in sae folder and run the installer and thats it. Good luck
It works, but the mod becomes extremely laggy and crashes when I play with 2 vs 2 or more players. Also, the loading page takes too long in skirmish mode. What can I do to fix this?

Hey guys, my pc crashes when trying to start a skirmish, but I believe my install was done properly, do any of you might know why ?

I was able to launch a few games after the facts, I while I do experience regular crashes ( 2 on 4 games ), at least I can play for a bit.
It's very probably because I have a trash-tier PC
Try setting the graphics to a minimum, and have at least 4 GB of Ram free.
