I don’t think with this Barca team, there is a coach in football world who can literally flip the switch and somehow turn this team into the beast 😤💪🏻 like Girona coach did, Xabi Alonso did with Bayer Leverkusen, Klopp did with Liverpool, Hansi Flick did with Bayern Munich, Pep Did with Manchester City & finally Carlo Ancelotti did with Real Madrid. Can Rafa Marquez do that with this Barca team? No! It’s not happening because Barcelona are also not financially in that condition where they can build so strong squad depth by signing world class players spending millions of euros like Chelsea, Manchester City, P$G, Real Madrid does…we simply can’t do that.

      the problem with xavi is that things have already gone astray and the current group of players as a whole is not able to handle stress while xavi is also not able to reign them in. it took xavi publicly resigning for the players to start calming down again and that strategy wont be available anymore if they start the season dropping 10 points immediately and the players start panicking again. then it would be too late for the club to do anything and they will then be forced to sack xavi to get things under control.

      Xavi wasn't doing jack s***. The youngsters that have been breaking through have done so on the merit of their own talent not because Xavi is some brilliant mentor. He is hot-headed, biased, inflexible with his personnel and tactics and cannot handle the big occasions all that well. Man should be shipped back to Qatar because that's where he belongs.

      @tk80mufa5 Před měsícem +2

      @@barcavibes7514 i have to admit , as i got older , i can't watch that many full time games anymore - mostly extended highlights
      it's hard to say , but obviously , players like Lewy and Gündo are too old to create a new era over 4-7 years , and De Jong was brought in because of that one good season with Ajax in 2019 IIRC , and because Koeman (?) wanted him
      i would focus as much on Spanish/Portugese/Argentinian/Brazilian/Uru players as possible , on La Masia players ,
      look to Athletic Bilbao and Basque players in general , be like Leipzig always on the lookout for new hungry players
      but get rid of these high payroll players who aren't delivering in UCL anymore
      then again , if Lewy and Gündo and De Jong stay , and next season a new coach comes in and maybe 2-3 new unexpected players , maybe they challenge for LaLiga because Real once again focuses only on UCL , and they will get team chemistry problem with Endrick and Mbappé ?
      maybe even play a diamond prmanently in midfield for Barca , who knows
      problem is Gündo , as much as a respect him and the things he won , he is too slow , and not the sort of tempo dribbling guy Barca wants at every position
      maybe even move J.Cancelo to CDM as an experiment?
      the great thing is , as bad as the 1-4 was as a result , Barca won the first game and went up 1-0 in the second
      so Barca is not that far away , however i don't know who in La Masia would be the perfect new Busquets , i don't watch the B team
