“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!
as soon as he said that he does not cut live tissue, he is not a surgeon...I knew that I had to subscribe!!!!! Cuticles are there for a reason!!!!!!
Thanks for subbing! We hope this video on acrylic nail fills was helpful for you.
@@youngnailsinc absolutely……you are a true artist and a great teacher!
VERY helpful! Thank you!!!! I am a subscriber, so happy I am. I love your products.
Thanks for subbing! We are happy to hear you enjoyed this video on acrylic nail fills.
Gorge! Thx for the tip! My fills are going to be awesome! I’m team “I’m not a surgeon,” Lolol. If you do it right, you don’t have to cut the cuticle!
Iam literally new at this and am more into gell nail but am only doing my own but love this with a passion and am seriously considering going to school. You make this look so easy. But I make tig welding aluminum look easy also when actually it's far from it and let alone to do it right and to look flawless. I no it's an art and takes lots of practice to get down what we both do. 🎉 Thank you for sharing your life long trade secrets. 🙏
Thank you for such a detailed tutorial, it’s extremely helpful 🫶🏻
Thank you ,i love all your videos!!
You are the best G-man❗️Thank you for this awesome tutorial 💅 blessings 🙌🙏❤
Thank you! I need all the help I can get. Ready to take a class online. Thank you ❤💅
Awesome explanation for cuticle cutting!!! NOT TO MENTION, CUTICLE cutting is against our scope of practice as a nail technician!!!
Is it the Cuticle or thr Eponychium? I thought the Cuticle is under the Eponychium laying on the nail plate and we can remove that but never cut the Eponychium live tissue.
@Bella Mer Spa the eponychium is the layer present underneath the proximal nail fold that produces cuticles on the nail. The eponychium is made of live cells, and the cuticle is dead skin cells. That's why you push the cuticle back first, and they use the smaller bits to clean the cuticle as well as not cut the skin.
Great class thanks.
❤ the video, can we see a clear fiber gel with keratin from pot application? 😊
Thank you!!!✌🏻
I haven’t received my swipe yet? What can I use instead until it comes?
Alcohol isn't always strong enough to remove all the oils, but for the time being, you could use 99% alcohol.
what is the best way to remove lifting?
Here are some good videos: czcams.com/video/NT1qYoYr4Xs/video.html
czcams.com/video/2-zDXnmGOSs/video.html
What about the natural nail growing underneath? Do you use the efile? And what kind of bit?
We have an under the nail bit for cleaning up. You could use it for natural nail growing as well.
So I've had this set of my acrylics on for over a month and I did 1 fill. I am noticing tho that I have several nails with small lift. None of first set had anything more than minor lifts at the edges and I could file it off and then fill. Can't tell what I did differently this time.
Did you use the same steps for prepping as you did for the full set? Push back cuticles, fully remove shine from the nail with a medium sanding band or 150 grit file, cleanse with Swipe and apply 2 coats of Protein Bond to the natural nail? Did you use the same product to fill or did you use something different?
@@youngnailsinc I used clear and natural the first time second was natural and pink. All steps the same. I think I found my issue, I was too close to the cuticle!
Getting too close to the cuticle can definitely cause lifting. We always recommend leaving a "hairline" space between your product and the cuticle
How do you recommend to clean your ebits even if you are only using on yourself?? Also Also when using forms to sculpt your nail especially on non dominant hand can you go back and add Arylic if you feel that once you have filled that you may have taken a bit more than you want can I get my nail ready as if I were doing a fill ?? Or just add the Arylic when needed why do you protein bond before you put the top coat
We always recommend following your state board's guidelines for sanitizing and disinfecting your tools. Most of the time, this would include washing with soap and hot water and soaking in a disinfectant solution. Even if you are only using the bits on yourself, bacteria can grow on them and it is important to keep them clean and disinfected.
If you feel like you need more product on your sculpted acrylics, you can simply add another pearl in the low spot. Dust the nail and cleanse with Swipe, but it's not necessary to completely re-prep.
After filing, we recommend using the Protein Bond to give added insurance that your top coat will have the best adhesion.
Thanks for your support and amazing knowledge
I don't cut cuticles as well.
Am from Mauritius. I want to buy young nails primer and acrylic powder but unable to do so..

What if the is a break in the apex area or lifting?
It looks like you need to build your arch/stress area a little thicker to support the extension.

What did you mean by the acrylic was tight on her nail? Does acrylic shrink over time? I've never heard that before
He's just referring to the product being adhered well & no lifting or separation.
@@youngnailsinc ooo 😂😂 I feel silly
What size brush is this and can you let me know the name of it as well
Greg's signature brush, size 12.
Can we get a tutorial on an entire fill, please?! Just want to see what’s next after each finger.
We have many great videos available on our channel.
The middle finger is the next finger my luv. Lol😅 I just couldn't resist. I consider us lucky he shares his top notch secrets and didn't want to press my luck and ask for all of them but since you asked I will say nice question and I second that 😂❤
Hi Greg, what do you do when someone has a lot of cuticle who rarely gets their nails done.
When I have newbie client for a full set no matter how light and careful I am with the nippers they always seem to bleed, it slows down the whole process and makes me panic when it doesn’t stop. Should I stop cutting cuticles and instead just push back and buff even for a gel mani???
Thank you! 🙏🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
We recommend just gently pushing back the cuticles & prep around the cuticle area with a medium sanding band on your efile. If they need a little more work, you can also use the Diamond Cuticle-Square bit to clean up. Here's a quick video to show you how. czcams.com/video/LD-g2eQ5xxg/video.html
If you need to nip any hangnails (not the whole cuticle area), we recommend doing that at the end of the service so you don't accidentally hit the freshly clipped skin with the file and cause bleeding.
@@youngnailsinc Thank you so much! Going try this! Great advise 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
