  • Colin Laird had been milking in a rotary for 20 years and decided to make the change to a robotic milking system, installing 10 Lely Astronaut A5's. The change has seen a 50% reduction in staff numbers on the farm while milk yield has also increased since moving to robots.

Fantastic management for the ease of cattle and for the production of good milk. The robotic preparation keeps the spacious area very clean and maintained with food. Equivalent in some ways to women and men being in an office, then in enclosed transport, and home to shelter, outside very little.

Yes one huge maga/robot/concrete,cow barn, much better then having many small farmers letting cows to pasture. Yes industrial giants take all the money, yes wonderful.
