2023 KY State Fair Floral Design Demo # 2

In this demo, Dakota created a cohesive collection of four different pieces with unique styles. Mixing flowers and colors can help you get the most out of the flowers available to you.
For the past two years KHC has been invited to do floral design demos on the Farm to Fair Cooking Stage at the Kentucky State Fair. For both of this year's demos, Dakota used flowers from the Kentucky Flower Market (www.kentuckyflowermarket.com/). Through the KFM, he was able to source flowers from 8 different farms with one purchase. Tara Watkins from the University of Kentucky joined Dakota on stage to talk about all the different ways flower farmers in Kentucky are growing and selling flowers. As a flower farmer herself (www.firmlyrootedflowersky.com/) Tara was also able to provide a grower's point of view as well.
