What route should I take? Hope I dont have to face any further interviews to obtain work permit.

Before going to Cincinnati I m planning to stay at my distant relatives home in Washginton DC(i didnt mention this in DS160). So my POE is Washington DC, will it be a problem, if tell them that i 'm going to stay with my relatives for few days before going to university

When you entering in another country there is one department who ask you questions and allow you to entre the county that is called immigration too

Invitation from conference may be they ask in immigration and return ticket nothing else
