@@dennyalfro9832did you pass? Also if you don’t mind, could you give me any tips? I will be taking this exam soon as well. My knowledge in Spanish is absolutely minimal. The only reason I am taking this is because foreign language is required for my degree so if you have any tips, it will be helpful.
I did. I’m so sorry for responding late, but let me break it down for you. Out the highest score you can get is an 80, I got a 74 which pretty much meant I got the full 14 hrs college credit. The first part is listening to statements from two people speaking and figuring out the correct terminology. The second part gets tricky bc not only do you hv no prompt but the one you are listening to, but you also have to listen, and memorize as best you can the short passages and they’ll ask you questions like “in the passage, what did he mean by etc. etc.”. And you have to figure the right answer. Would you like some more details?…@@Ali-vl1sc
ty for this I need to meet some foreign language credit for high school and for my AA and I'm probably finna clep since I don't wanna take Spanish 2 my senior year and I get elective credits towards my AA. I understand Spanish well and I speak it decently. This really helps me feel less nervous. Thanks! Ill let you know how it goes if I take it.
I'm using Modern States now. I plan to take the test in the next few weeks. I use Modern States, but I also search for videos like this one to make sure I'm getting everything.
If anyone here has an answer to this. If one was to take this clep it says level 1 50% pass for 6 college credit and level 2 60% for 9 credits. If you pass level 1 and 2 would they add up the college credits. Meaning 6+9 = 15 college credits. Or is it one or the other depending the percentage you get.
They do not add them up. Think of it like this - Level 1 (lower level 100 courses, Spanish 101 and 102, for example) and Level 2 (200 level courses, Spanish 201 and 202). So, it is one or the other 6 or 9.
For most colleges and universities, 63 satisfies your 2 years of foreign language undergraduate requirement. _Most,_ but not all. So if a test-taker scored a 63, they wouldn't need to take any foreign language classes for their BA requirement (some majors, like Linguistics, have additional foreign language requirements).
This helped SO MUCH. I really don't have to worry about a lot now that I know from my classmates and you, I pray I do well and all of you guys too. :)
Youre amazing thank you!
I’m taking this exam in less than 8 hours today

@@jlynn8289did you pass?
Is the exam proctored or can it be taken at any time?
Depends on the testing center. All my exams were proctored. Check the description!

Thanks for clarifying this! @J LYNN
No, you gain 6 if you pass with 50%
Or you can gain 9 if you pass with 63%
No, you only get 6 or 9
Basically, it is not 6+9. You get 6 or 9, depending on your score.
I score 75 spanish level 1 & 2 with writing.
Great job!
Congratulations! 🥳 may I ask you what was your studying strategy? What resources did you use?
Hey I’m sorry to bother but a score of 63 is that passing? Like would I be able to get my credits
Check with your university, but 50 is usually the passing score. So 63 is really good. Sometimes your school might require a higher score.
At my university, 63 is the minimum score needed to pass/test out of Spanish 1, 2, and 3.
Yes, if you score 63 Spanish level 1&2 you just gain 9.
