In the odisha section the second statue is Surya dev and it is same levitating asta dhatu statue that was present in konark sun temple and what we today find in konark temple is not the main shrine it is only the gateway of the mainshrine and the main shrine was like double the size of what today we see the surya dev statue was surrounded by big magnets which caused it to levitate in air but Portuguese invaders and Islamic invaders destroyed the main shrine and Britishers took away gods statue and second thing is the temple was made in such a way that the first ray of morning sun fell on the face of God's statue but today we can't see this 😢

@@jyotiradityachoudhury2241 The statue you're talking about that was taken from konark is not there because according to some odia historians the Surya dev statue was atleast 6-7 ft tall but some say it was 9-10 ft tall, yes it was made of rare metal and according to some rumors I have heard its in a private collection. It might also not be in England maybe America.
There was no Islamic things in that museum u know why because Islam was not that prevalent or even not existed at that time in India. Whenever you'll see any Historical Ancient things in any Museum you'll not find any Islamic things as our Historical identity. Jai Hind🙏🇮🇳

No doubt India has lost a tremendous amount of heritage and culture to these looters and plunderers. But now we are building back. So in times to come, either we will get it back or build better. While what has been lost can never be replaced or replineshed unless we get it back as it was priceless but we have to move on and build something even more beautiful and unique for future generations to be proud of.
The worst part is Britishers looted India completely and never apologised and never gave back the things of India.
I have mixed feelings..from independance till 2014 temple expensive statues were stolen and exported and most of it cant be traced..atleast brits have preserved it...if these items were in india, these would have been untraceble..some things are blessing in disguise..we only value things when we lose...look how we treat our centuries old temples and statues..
