I have a hard time even talking to people about AI and basically at the point where I think I have to create my own so the whole world doesn't screw me more than it already has. If an AI takes their job then they deserve it for letting it take their job. People are seriously giving these big AI companies until 2030 or even 2050 to screw them. Give me a break.

for fucks sakes man -.- i hate this also the people that spend 6 months hand painting something incredible for this thing to just shit on it in 2 seconds
feels like all sorts of creative outlets are being taken away or at least made significantly harder to get into. as someone that pursued many things as hobbies and got good at them and even earned money with these skills (music, writing, programming) it seems like pursuing these things instead of watching mindless entertainment all day is starting to make less and less sense. soon someone will chart a song made by AI and all the influencers and people with brands and already built images will jump on it. Companies will use the "artists" merely as a way to put a face on the computer generated music.
I am fine with being able to generate music, etc. I just wish that there was a way to tell if a song was made with AI or heavily inspired by AI so that people that want to pursue a craft can still have their space, especially for something like music where I feel like many people would not enjoy dancing to an AI generated song in a festival.
If its profitable enough someone will train AI to identify copwritten work used in AI compositions and turn filing copyright infringement suites into an automated business.
The code that LLMs generate is still garbage and will be for a long time.
AI music will be a normal thing in 10 to 15 years that we won't even think about it anymore. That's just where this is all going. Yes there will still be real musicians out there making music, but AI isn't going away.

Pro tip: always use the custom mode. The non-custom mode will randomly pick any words you write as either part of the lyrics or part of the style prompt. For example, you would want to put "metal djent aggressive" in style and "[guitar solo]" in lyrics. And do not use words without any value such as "song".
For fun, try something like "metal djent aggressive flute cello" for style and "[harpsichord solo] [violin solo]" for lyrics. Push it outside the training material.
Have you (or others) discovered ways to generate "clean" vocals? Almost everything I has generated in Suno AI Pro (rock, pop, country, etc.) has a lot of effects on the vocals which makes them sound "muddy". Even after (a) separating the stems (lalals, band lab), (b) generating a new voice (ElevenLabs), and (c) working with it in Logic Pro. But can't clean them up. Ideas? Thanks.
I just used [End of Song] in lyrics to "hack" an instrumental, but it seemed like the song structure just ignored verses and choruses and didn't feel dynamic, so this is a cool change.

The innovation is fantastic with this AI but it is hard to not feel a little fearful and let down as this is what they come for first before eliminating labour and repetitive jobs, as I’m sure is next.
*AI is going to make us all miserable if we allow it to do the things that bring us joy. It should be reserved for doing the jobs that people hate doing.*

Or perhaps the focus on the value of art will shift from outcome to process, recognizing what those of us who make art know: that there is something intriguing and worthwhile in the human process of creation. Add to this that AI will be engaged collaboratively, not only as a means to a commodified end, and you can imagine that there are many possible futures. Not just one where human art becomes an antique 🙏🏽

Perpetuity apparently even when you stop subscribing. Basically the music is doesn't take up much value think about it so anyone can make a close to what you made, so perpetuity doesn't mean much if it takes seconds to make a song
How do you edit a song while suing the same voice and melodies when in custom mode?. Every time I want to change the lyrics, It creates a new voice and melody. Even when I click continue from. Is this not possible?

I've been making some interesting stuff with V3 and Daw if you wanna see them. Still took a long time to put together but I wanna keep doing it and seeing if I can get them to pass as legit. Has to be with vocals otherwise it's too easy haha.

It seems to want to "sing" parts of the prompt when using commas. Trying to figure out a way to get it to read the instructions for pre-verse recital. Spending tons of credits learning how it perceives language. Discord isn't much help, has a chirp thing that does basically the same thing?

What's so incredibly professional about the generated music is the level of mixing and studio engineering, everything sits so well and compressed and sounds punchy and clean, this is in addition to the really good melodic tunes and musical editing.... Simply stunning ❤

I'm on v2, but in the last 4 to 5 days I can't get it to sing in the language I entered as text, before that it worked 99% of the time, the only thing is sometimes an instrumental without singing, but never until now in a language I didn't enter like the text, they messed everything up with the new version, almost all my credit goes to nothing ... when I get it right and when I want to continue, it gives me the second part in another language, terrible

I’ve been hooked in a crazy way.. I made 100 songs just about the Chinese Spy Balloon they were insane 😂
It's still learning... Changing it cannot do a lot. I've been forcing it to produce things that it has trouble with for some reason it's getting better. Generating is inexpensive too. Just don't want everybody to produce garbage. As an actual musician I'm worried that people using it to make the same regurgitated crap music is teaching it to prefer certain styles over others. The distortion is still there 3-5k range. Still need significant editing in an actual daw to get professional.
Yeah it's really unclear what the temperature is of the model, whenever you continue a song, it usually takes 6 or more outputs to get close to how you asked it to continue.
Suno is great, I've been making ALOT on it.
As a developer, make words specific, like you're making music in the studio, adjusting the tempo, etc. AI tends to make generic beats based on trends.

Can be used for entertainment and inspiration, AI is not going anywhere, I am learning so much about AI in general, I see so many possibilities and opportunities especially for creative people and people in general if they take the time to learn about AI.

I would be weary. AI doesn't just entirely make things up, I've had songs that straight up copied other songs' lyrics.

You can right click the song and choose to continue, this way you can get up to 1 minute per each continuation

I just got the Premier Plan. In my humble opinion, we have a ways to go on AI created music. I now have buyers regret. I continued my song but when I kept trying to "get whole song" it just kept on creating the song I created before it. Even after I deleted the song before the one I was trying to complete. plus song usually stops mid word. And when I try to extend a song I have to retype style and title. Seems Suno cant remember the prompts it's continuing from.Suno seems to have a hard time following the prompt vocal style. But has an easy time subtracting my credits every time
It gets the voice wrong. vocals at times ma sound like two tin cans connected to a string. All this can be yours for the low low price of $288.00 a year. I'm sorry if I sound negative, buts that's my opinion.
The round distortion artifact sound is still pretty hard to ignore 3-5 k range. It has the "ai style" & "ai sound" edit in a daw peak management and parametric eq. It's an idea generator still. Remember every time you do a song you're teaching it so don't teach garbage. When you click thumbs up you're giving it positive feedback. Don't give it positive feedback on garbage songs. You're going to have to find a balance between the distortion ones and the good unique sounds that it can produce. You are teaching a use computers to make music. It does not hear what it makes It does not understand the subtleties it makes You do so you have to push it towards that.

That's not how 'get whole song' works my dude.
'Get whole song' puts all continuations you did together. You first have to keep chain outputting snippets you like and think fit well with what came before. Then you can press 'get whole song' and it'll combine all continued snippets into the whole song.
Yeah you continue to do the segments but you can nudge it to do what you want. After you have a full song that is a continuation you can get the whole song and download the MP3 but sadly you cant get anything high quality no waves and MP3 is pretty low The bitrates still have to do some editing inside a daw to make it sound proper. Bark voices are used unless you select the instrumental slide button. Bark voices are ok the heavy reliance on Auto tune hurts my ears. it is getting good enough to compete with mainstream rap and rnb but nowhere close to doing good industrial, rock or metal. Don't train it to make crap.

I've had some genuinely good sounding voices in the modern djent (cozy, warm heavy) and psychedelic (1970) rock. But yeah voices are really hit or miss, maybe 8/10 not too great objectively. The melodies are crazy tho, the way the AI does make professional quality vocal melodies is scary. Voices have to catch up.
Full midi (DAW) control would be nice. Prompting needs more options, transparency and controls like masking, selecting sections or instruments, more control and better temperature over 'remix' or 'continue' functions. Drums are the best part of this AI tbh, very real drumming with all the accents and flourishes. My band's drummer was stunned by the generated drums and how professional they sound.
I'd like to know what the ai uses for it's music. Is it sample based, does it basically make a midi track, where does it come from? I think Suno would need to add those functionalities and transparency to really become a serious AI music machine. They're incredibly close tho and if you 'listen through' the vocal and instrument sounds, the songs are actually really great. Better than what 9/10 amateur musicians would be able to pull off.
This is the worst this technique is gonna be, from now on. I'm curious, excited and a bit scared for how these AI will sound a year from now.
After playing with suna AI can already imagine myself listening to AI music. It's just simply enjoyable music and in the proggy and modern genres I find the creativity and amount of attention-grabbin sections, really impressive
The sad part is that it caters ONLY to more pop/mainstream/old genres. It can't really do any hard genres, meaning no j-core, hardcore, frenchcore, schranz and many many more. The only thing of the sort it can make is gabber. That's so sad.
for chinese language it's many only mandarin can be sound normal, and rap in cantonese will turn to robotic tune slowly.
Dont worry, its in the very early stages. it will soon be able to create any genre and be on level with human music, or even better
How do you do the bridges and into etc
You can prompt it to do so but for best most usable results, throw it in a DAW. I got 2 videos showing what's possible and I'm gonna do more.
@@RobotsMakeMusicI did learn some other prompts to use to make it much easier for the AI to understand. But i rarely get a perfect set on first generation. It recognizes just about any style even the horrendous yacht rock hahah. I even found some requests working whwn i included in the prompt like certain instrument for intro different keys and transistions. Its a fun experience and ive gotten a couple nice 3 minute songs out of it.

I had high hopes but used my trial credits and regardless of how descriptive I was, the results all sounded the same (like some boy-band pop trash). Is this a V3 vs V4 thing? I don't think AI will be replacing musicians any time soon - except boy bands, maybe :D

So you're telling me the last 30 years of my life learning, studying and practicing the drums, producing, mixing and mastering has brought me to a point where unskilled armchair wannabees are going to prompt their way into the already flooded, and de-valued music market. Gosh, I miss the 80s and 90s! It was a time music was a premium product, not disposable entertainment. Kids these days (old man rant) will never know how great that time period was for the music scene. What a personal journey it was to find bandmates, become friends, write and perform music together. We'd get paid three times as much for live shows and audiences would actually watch you perform and actually get into it, not just stand there, checking their phones to make sure they're capturing 30 seconds to upload to their social media. Back then, it was an awesome time for music creators. Can't be stated enough.
While things are different now, I can assure you that people still appreciate a true artist. You can hear the difference in the music.
With the advent of autotune and ai a lot of songs start to sound the same. I mean AI has gotten really good and there might be people that are really skilled but you can’t replicate the magic that only a human can put into a performance

On the bright side, you can tour, get paid, be creative, inspire people, serenade your partner, bring happiness to your audiences performing live while they dance the night away. This is pretty shocking and impressive to say the least, but keep in mind that all these LLMs they are using have some portion of copywritten music and most importantly someone will definitely be getting rich and it won't be music creators at least not the current model.
What a joy to have AI replace a lot of the boring parts of making music. For me making music has always been about finding those nuggets by listening for something cool. Same process with AI music creation but way faster. I'm having a blast right now!
