I visited Mexico City twice in May and absolutely loved and felt 100% safe. Didn't stay in the expat area like Roma Norte either and it was great!
That's so great to hear! What area did you stay in?
@@CrosbyGraceTravels in Colonia Buenavista, loved it!
@@CrosbyGraceTravels I'd love to see a Backpacking Bananas collab! I think she's in Mexico now!
@CrosbyGraceTravels you just don't go to certain parts, that's all, like in Oakland or LA or Chicago you just don't go to certain parts.
@@rwilson6637Muy bonita elección, la colonia Linda Vista.
¡Muchas gracias por querer tanto a México! Thank you for loving Mexico su much!
❤❤❤
Tremendous Capital City!. Visitors quickly realize of the rich history, traditions, culture, art and architecture, and of course delicious and eclectic gastronomy. Mexico City is just fascinating, too much to explore and discover.
Mexico has the largest number of world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in the Americas.
Nice vid!
Tourists and digital nomads are destroying our city making it literally their property, they only hangout with each other, displace locals, raise prices, appropiate and pervert our culture, speak English obnoxiously loud on the street demanding it to be spoken in classes and events. They think we live an exotic jungle they can colonize and move "to live like kings" they said. They dont care about us, they care its cheaper, because they earn in dollars. Sad chapter of white colonialism.
Yes queen yes! All the yes. Mexico is amazing and the people are so kind. Let’s be curious and not judgmental ❤ I’m in Guanajuato city headed to San Miguel solo. I feel so safe, so happy. Keeping your head on a swivel actually helps you see more. I’m gonna have Houitlecoche enchiladas for dinner.
I love this comment SO MUCH!!! Enjoy those huitlacoche enchiladas 😉

A taco tour would be so cool to do especially since I love tacos! I'm glad to hear you felt pretty safe overall in Mexico City. I totally agree that the media really tries to hype up the bad things about a destination. I feel that as long as you are in a safe part of the city and practice your street smarts, you'll generally be OK. I really want to plan a trip to Mexico City now after watching both of your videos from there! Amazing video Crosby!
Yes exactly!! I hope you get to go someday it’s a wonderful city!

Guys yes tacos is one of the most famous food in México, but you should go to "casa de toño" and try, pozole, quesadillas, sopes, flautas mole etc.
Welcome to Mexico !
Awesome Crosby! I’ve lived here in Mexico for a year and a half and have always felt safe! I’ve got to get to Mexico City soon!
You should!!

The fact that you're back in Mexico for a second time tells me that it's probably not as bad as the media makes it out to be. And yes, there are bad neighborhoods everywhere.
You’re absolutely right
Media lies, you should know it by now 🤣🤣

Wow, I absolutely loved this journey through Mexico City! Your exploration of different neighborhoods, the historical sites, and the vibrant culture made me feel like I was right there with you. The struggle with finding vegetarian options was real, but those hibiscus water and mushroom tacos looked delicious! It's also great to hear your perspective on safety in the city. Can't wait for more adventures and that Dia de los Muertos vlog! 🌮🇲🇽✨
Safer than many US Cities, for sure!

Great video! You said it was safe so I'm going to take your word for it! Been to TJ and Cancun but never CDMX. Have backpacked all over the world. Just booked a flight and going Feb 16-20! Not thinking of hitting up gentrified areas in CDMX either! Gonna do the local scenes! So excited!!!!

Welcome to our city, for visitors I suggest visiting the city with a local not because it is unsafe but because we keep the best for ourselves. Enjoy it!
México City is incredibel 👍
Love your videos. We are heading to CDMX in a few months for the first time. We are super excited.
Hope you enjoy it!
I love the color saturation on your videos

Crosby thank you for pointing out the fear mongering the media displays of Mexico. Not all of Mexico is dangerous. Take care!
I've lived in Mexico the past three years and feel safer here than in the US.
Love you guera… great stuff! I can’t help but get concerned at first when traveling to Mexico cause of what we hear in the states. Once there though, it actually feels like a second home. Love the culture and way of life, simple. As you say, just be mindful of the areas you visit and don’t act a fool
I couldn’t agree more!! Thanks for sharing your experience 🙏
CDMX is absolutely the best! I’ve been there three times and could drop everything and go right now. Everything is just fantastic and you really did it up in 48 hours. I bet you’ll love Oaxaca City!

i'm so happy you went to Coyoacan because that's where my family on my dad's side is from and i always feel at home there. i find it tobe just so peaceful and amazing to walk through but i notice that many people don't seem to realise how beautiful it is.
Glad you enjoyed my home city!!!! I’m a Texan a heart but Mexico City is really something else ❤❤❤❤ beautiful blog ❤ keep it up ❤
It really is!
I pretty much grew up in the rural areas of Northern Mexico because of my parents' work, NEVER felt threatened by locals.
Gee, it's almost like Mexico is a regular place inhabited by regular people going on about their lives. If only people looked outside their sheltered CNN/Fox/BBC-infused bubble they might get to know other cultures and expand their horizons. Haha
love your videos in México
Ahhhh, that molcajete looks amazing!
Gracias! ❤
Very beautiful and colorful video. Like you, I traveled extensively in most parts of Mexico and never run into any problem. You were wise to avoid Mexico City subway. At rush hours, it is utter craziness. Not a good place to film for sure.

I lived in Condesa for 5 months in the fall/Winter of 2021. Loved it the cafe's are endless my personal favorite was Baker's.
I really liked your video. I was born and raised in Mexico but moved to the US last year. Watching this brought back fun and cute memories I have from home. Thanks for showing respect to the culture, our traditions, the food, and for speaking Spanish with the locals. And thanks for your honest safety review; even as a Mexican we are still cautious when being out and about in our own country. But, as you said, it really is no different from being out in a big city like NYC or Paris. Keep up the good work!
Exelente promocional de de la ciudad de México mucho profesionalismo ❤️
Un gran material fílmico merecido a la ciudad de México para promoción internacional . 👌
Awesome video thanks
I just discovered your channel and as Mexican living from tourist industry l realy want to thank you for the way that you give to know the reality about traveling thrue Mexico .

Glad to hear it! Enjoy!
Thank you for showing the true side of the city where I was born. I am proud of mu country and my people. We are honest and, very gentle and kind. You are correct when you say this is like any other big city in the world.
Love your videos Pretty. So nice !!

Mexico is very safe.people judge it by watching news if you havent been to mexico.take advantage and visit.people are very humble and respectfull.ive loved mexico since i was a kid.the best experience
I just visited Mexico City, I'm from Guadalajara, great city
You are definitely a smart and reasonable person who understands that big cities, by the mere fact of being large and diverse, have dangers that are not present in smaller cities or suburbs in the USA.
I was born and raised in Mexico City and I’m no stranger to its multiple dangers. What you said about being aware of your surroundings and exercising caution based on the situation (knowing, for example, when you can walk at a leisurely pace and when you’d better walk faster) is absolutely right.
I have been mugged in the city only once, and I do think my not being aware of my surroundings played a part in that (it was an “express” mugging, where the whole thing literally happened in a few seconds. I was pulled to the ground in a narrow “corridor” surrounded by street stands, and my iPod was taken away so fast I couldn’t even see my muggers’ faces).
In a perfect world, you wish you wouldn’t have to worry about anything and just walk leisurely everywhere. In reality, big cities are like jungles where you have to be aware of your surroundings to avoid being scammed, mugged or assaulted. But based on my experience I do think crime is not uniformly distributed. While I only had one such experience in almost 25 years, I have cousins who experienced far more of these events, mostly due to the areas they had to go through on a daily basis.
So glad to see you enjoyed Mexico City. I’m especially happy you made it to Coyoacan. I’ve been visiting Mexico City for work since 2020. I’m older and don’t go clubbing. I stay in Coyoacan. I love it. It is safe and fun. The media blows the danger out of proportion!
CDMX is a great base hub city to travel the world. Viva México 🎉🇲🇽
Viva México!
Your video was awesome. It showed me the places I want to visit first before I move there. BTW, you are so pretty! 🌹💐✨
Mexico City is just like any other place, don't be going into the sketchy areas and you will be fine. I lived in Tultitlan for 2 years and it was the 2 best years of my life
Viva Mexico 🇲🇽
So first time viewer of your blogs. Im older retired in Mexico City for the last 3 years. Your response about safety in Mexico City and your tips seem completely appropriate. Usually I leave my cellphones (inexpensive androids) at home when I go on my daily walks and of course don't have a youtube type camera. The point you made about not being out drinking late at night seems to make a lot of sense. Like you I am so over people who have no personal experience portraying Mexico as less safe than anywhere else. Keep up the great work
Welcome to Mexico
FELIZIDADES me gusto tu video gracia
Great video, I will be in Mexico in 16 days, I can't wait to go and try some churros and some tacos.
You are the first one I saw on fb with a 17mke and it made me want one! So I did.. same year and everything

I live in Southern California and I feel safer in Mexico because the cities and towns are not filled with homeless people like in Los Angeles and San Diego.
Si hay homeless pero menos que en L.A de seguro, por ahora hay mucho inmigrante de Venezuela y Haití en las calles 😔🥲

do you take your canon rp out on the street or just use go pro?
Cool! And its ok, yeah u would be safe in. Places like condesa, roma, polanco etc, but if u get lost i little bit u may end up in a really dangerous place, so to all people that want to visit mexico just do a little research before like where the safe places are n where the end n begin the dangerous places cause sometimes they are like next to each other
There are taco stands with Tlacoyos, they are out of beans or chick peaks with dry cheese and nopales ( cactus) , they are vegie
Sounds delish!
Try to check out Santa Fe which is pretty fun.
Nice one, Crosby, CDMX looks great, especially love the park. You chose a great city for Dia de los Muertos as Oaxaca has a rep for doing it right, looking forward to your next video!
