Corey Taylor (Stone Sour/SlipKnot) meets recently paralyzed fan Aaron Foley

- Took Corey Taylor of Stone Sour & Slipknot to meet a young man called Aaron Foley. After a terrible accident, Aaron is dealing with some major challenges moving forward into the next phase of his life.
On May 15th 2017 about 9pm, Aaron Foley was helping a friend who lost control of his motorcycle and fell off.
When he went to cross the street, he was hit by a Chevy Silverado. This left him paralyzed from the waist down, broken ribs, 2 burst lungs and a lacerated liver. Aaron is now working hard to continue to live his life to the fullest without being able to walk.
Corey's visit was intended to lift Aaron's spirits. I know it did, but I think this young man's incredibly positive outlook did more for us than we could ever hope to do for him.

Akula Akulka It seems like the bands that seem the scariest and hardest are the ones that are the nicest and really care about their fans. I think the best example is Mitch Lucker from Suicide Silence was an awesome guy off stage and spent time helping alot of people but he was a monster with his music and on stage with his screams. Corey is even bigger is popularity and he cares for his fans so much. Everyone should aspire to be more like Corey Taylor haha

He did an acoustic show here in Hawaii and after his set rather than hanging out backstage and leaving out the back like most people Corey went outside to meet and take pictures with people .

DanielConley when I first met him back in 2000 in La Crosse, WI, he was so down to earth. All of Slipknot were... The ones that we knew. This is before you really knew what they looked like.

You know how cool Corey is when he takes his sunglasses off before entering the building.
You know.. I noticed that too. I consider it respectful to take off the shades when I'm talking to someone.. especially when I'm meeting someone new...and I really appreciated that he did that.
Honestly, it shows his character, and I really appreciated that. There's only a few ways people can show their character without even realizing it, without faking it for the camera, and that's one of those. I know it sounds silly but taking off your glasses when meeting people is extremely respectful, and keeping them on is actually super disrespectful in other countries. Rockstars that go in, glasses on, no care in the world, or people that wear sunglasses in clubs, you know their character. Idk. small rant/appreciation. maybe I'm crazy.
Taking your shades off means a lot to people. The biggest connection is through eye contact. It can feel weird to look someone in the eye, but shows strength. There's more in Corey Taylor than a tattooed metal head.

Corey doesn't say Hi. tale a picture then leave. He sits down, has a conversation for 30 minutes and actually interacts with them all. He is a real man, with a human heart and I don't like saying that people should be idols, but he really is the real deal. This kind of stuff makes realise how awesome metalheads can be. I remember way back at Ozzfest when Slipknot was promoting Vol. 3 Subliminal verses. There was a guy that always came in a powerchair he had serveral palsy i believe. And couldn't communicate well but i asked him if he wanted us (the crowd) to hold his chair above the crowd for a song or two. He nodded as best he could. Several people helped and me held him up in his chair. He began to shake but was just jamming out. It was so worth the sore shoulders the next day to help someone in his situation. I'd do it again in a heartbeat for this guy too.

nevercast2 I spent 4 months in a wheelchair due to getting hit by a drunk driver about 8 years ago. I was lucky to be able to walk again. Being stuck in a wheelchair was the most miserable time of my life. I couldnt imagine it being permanent and wouldnt wish that on anyone.

i agree..i was born with a condition that has had me physically handicapped from day one. I would give most anything to not be in this body and so meeting some artist i enjoy would not be worth it to be changed for the worse

to see Corey Taylor visit a fan after the horrible accident that Aaron went through is amazing. This shows that Corey even though he may not do this often. He will come and see a fan when something like this happens. especially when you are able to get through to people who can make it happen. My Birthday was on the 20th of June. Seeing that this was posted on my birthday thought its a few days late in seeing this. I honestly couldnt ask for a etter gift than seeing this young man be approached by his ll time favorite metal artist. Corey is an amazing human being. Hes a devoted father and a devoted Musical artist. when he says he loves each and every one of his fans he meens it. As many have said in these comments. Corey is a very humble man. He tries not to take things for granted. Life is precious and its moments like these that Im proud to be a fan of both Stone Sour and Slipknot. Moreso Im proud to even be in the same existence as such a man as Corey. If you ever read this You are an inspiration good sir.my Hat goes off to you.
