- Final Scandinavian Mensa IQ test for me to go through. The Mensa Sweden IQ test is the shortest IQ test of the scandinavian tests, it is still a fun test to do.

I believe question 19 was meant to be solved a different way. I went row by row, with the arrow rotating 90 degrees clockwise left to right. On every turn, the box was color-inverted, meaning question D is the right answer. This just seems more simpler, I'd argue.
In the second row, the first two do not invert colours, so that can't be the rule. I thought that a better rule was that for every row there are two arrows that are not colour inverted and one that is. In the third row, the first is colour inverted, so the second two cannot.
@@thomasalbrecht35 when white triangles are on top, the colours don’t invert. That still stays consistent for the last row

126 is very high if you consider that people with an IQ of 130 only make up 2% of the human population.

My solution to the #23 puzzle was a bit different from yours, instead of looking on how the center shape changed i looked to the rocket, with would start getting wider from the bottom.

Was also much easier than the Danish one too
I find it more difficult to solve this than Norway because I was overthinking too much
Problem 15 shouldn't be solved that way - it takes way too much time. The whole thing is symmetrical. Top left is bottom right, top middle is bottom middle, top right is bottom left.
Also, for problem 12, the colored diagonals you showed are incorrect. Following your colors, blue would give C as the answer. This problem is solved by rotation instead of diagnals.
Problem 19 is also overcomplicated. Follow the diagnals that you put, and you'll notice the arrow goes "up" to "down" on one diagnal, then "left" to "right" on the other, and alternates.
Problem 18 is also overcomplicated. You can get the bottom row from the top row by rotating the image rightwards 1/3 the way around. So, take top right and rotate right 1/3.
You have to realize there is no wrong or right way of solving it when it has multiple aspects that lead to the same answer. Not only am I pretty sure he saw that but I’m sure he looked for a different solution. This video is not about being time efficient but it’s a way of explaining the puddles into further details
Sometimes it's worth while solving simple puzzles using more complex methods, as those complex methods may be more useful to you further into the test. If you only solve the simple puzzles in the simplest way possible, then you don't learn the more complex methods for when they apply to more complex puzzles.
Puzzle 18 I solved differently, from left to right. All move the the previously "empty" line.
7:59 wouldn't you be rotating by 180 degrees?
Moving to the right or downwards leads to a rotation of 90 degrees in clockwise direction and the 5/8th picture in the matrix is pointing to the left -> the answer should point upwards.
Strangely, almost all questions are in one of two categories: 1) addition in columns and/or rows and 2) "diagonal" puzzles. Not much variety. A proper IQ test measures more abilities than spatial recognition.
I got them all right within 5 mins but it says i have an IQ of 126, while the minimum required IQ to join mensa is 131. They should have more question and a higher total IQ score

I got 122.... now i see that my mistake was on question 18th and 24th... not bad test but i think it was not hard.... do you have any sugestions how to fully prepare yourself for mensa.... ?
Just working through IQ-tests seems to be the best preparation. I have a tendency to not give up on a puzzle until i see the solution which always leaves me way too little time for the last puzzles,. If your'e like me and get obsessed over a single puzzle then just finish all the other puzzles before coming back to the one you got stuck on :P
@@PuzzlesAndSolutions yeah, i agree... for example math and geometry was my worst subject i almost fail a year one time.... but i think that this test is most suitable for people who knows math and geomtry well...but on the other hand, its giving all people to have realisation on their logical segment... it seems to me that iq should not be just a test but something more....combination of all factors: basic logic, critical way of thinking, speed, flexibility, basic logic, calculation, memory etc...
@@whiteeagle_srbwot1620 They try to make it as non biased as possible such that knowing math/geometry wont impact ur result, but it's hard making something humans will understand but at the same time not a part of human culture :P
My suggestion is not to prepare. Preparing is useless in the face of exams with different questions, the best option is to study various topics as you normally do, but now you must try even harder to understand everything.
Don't kid yourself, be smart.
The idea is that they're fairly easy questions, but you have a strict time limit.
I got 126 also, but looking over the asnwers I actually think I got question 15 wrong selecting B as I thought it overlapped for some reason to an upside down triangle, silly mistake but still I got 126, must mean that there is room for some error unless my memory serves me wrong and I did answer correctly, any how I think I am stating the obvious here when I say how are like 3/4 of the people in the comments getting 126 when an I.Q. of 126 is top 4 percent? Are people who seek out mensa online I.Q. tests more intelligent on average? Are people more likely to comment that they got 126 then the average of people who did not? Are people bullshitting or have taken the test before and posted their reattempt? Or is Sweden Mensa just trying to inflate scores so that you think you are potentially gifted and pay for the real test??

How similar are the sample test and the proctored test?
The mock test's graphical design is basically identical to the proctored test, and the result on the proctored test usually gives a good indication of how one might perform on the proctored test. However, you should be aware that the result of the sample test is no guarantee that you can, or cannot, become a member of Mensa.
Why does the sample test not measure IQ above 126?
All IQ tests have a small margin of error. This is due, among other things, to the influence of chance. Expressed in IQ, you can say that the standard error is about +/- 5 points. To avoid the sample test excluding many potential members due to the margin of error, we have chosen to set the maximum score on the sample test to 126.
so basically everyone who took this test should have a standard error of +/- 5 points. Therefore, statimg that my I.Q. is like 121-131 => top 6-2% of the population as if everyone else in the comments section. I just wish that there was an online test that was free that went for longer and was verified to be exactly the same as a real I.Q. test, that's okay if it was just a Ravens Progressive Matrices test to measure fluid I.Q. Even if the test cannot be considered valid in the sense that there is no way of assuring that individuals have not cheated or gotten someone to take the test for you, given that it was timed correctly and had sufficient questions increasing in sufficient complexity to measure up to say 160 I.Q. and that your score was standadized against a large random sample administered by professional psychologists who did not include online test takers. Actually after writing this out I've realized that would be problematic as then those who take the real test could use the online test as practice to inflate their score on a professionaly adminsistered test, perhaps for this reason there are no valid online I.Q. tests.

This test has typical questions, so if you've watched one of Puzzles&Solutions videos then you shouldn't have any problem answering these questions. If you want a hard test then just search "hard iq test" on google and do the 170 iq test.

@@re_gamer8079 Maybe. There is a possibility that people that got lower scores didn't comment though. The people that got 126 might be a vocal minority. Another possibility is some people are lying. But you're probably right.
Concider that this is the free test that Mensa lets you do at home to get a result ... that you should come in and pay them for the real test.

im really curious about knowing why you spent your time to solve useless iq tests?! they are completely teachable and have the patterns are repeat in different tests. this is my scros(from 11 years old to 15 and you can see this is increasing Not because I got smarter over time but i learned them .112->118->120->128->132->135->?!)

@@PuzzlesAndSolutions Nah, I'm just being difficult. I'd wish for a clarification that this is just a "sample", a demo of the test where you can approximate if there is any point in taking the real test or not. I assume of course that you are aware of the real Mensa test being something you have to attend to in person at a physical location and that it's conducted on rather higher level. The test you went through has probably not been updated and is of course highly relevant, sorry for my tone

I just feel like it's fine to call it an IQ test since Mensa also does it. I guess calling it an "Online IQ test" is better because then it differentiates from a real physical IQ test.
@@PuzzlesAndSolutions I agree with you, and most importantly don't see any reason why you would use anything other than what seems to work best for you, its good, helpful content. Got the physical test booked and will do it in a few days, and am only thankful for different ways of viewing/solving these problems

i had 96 here and i tried finish mensa test and had 133. 95 in mensa norway and 121 in mensa dennmark. I strugle with tests that have short time limit, basicly i can compare it to the car. It feels like i can reach high top speed but i have bad accelaration so it takes a while to get there. Idk how common that problem is among people tbh. Sorry for my english btw, its not my 1st language.
Gifted program has nothing to do with iq. It’s about ability to learn school subjects

@Jump Jack 1 was faulty made and impossible with no right answer. They fixed it and put in a new one. Also remember these test are not as accurate as a proper Mensa test

No it’s because there is no reason for them to use more effort than needed. Why work many hours to give something out for free. If someone gets 126 although I don’t believe this test to be accurate its just about letting people know they can potentially be a part of Mensa and pay for the real test
