Frostgrave Terrain made from a Thrift Store Toy

  • This week I take an old Play Mobile toy I found at the thrift store and convert it into a piece of Frostgrave Terrain. The first step is to remove some troublesome parts. Then I was it up and fix some holes. It is then primed with acrylic gesso and painted step by step until it becomes an lovely bit of Frostgrave terrain. Really this piece of Frostgrave terrain is suitable for Dungeons and Dragons, as well as many other tabletop war-games and RPGs.

Always keep an eye out but UK equivalents of thrift shops are really lacking in what they put out for sale. Something like 80% of donations they bin, it's tragic

That’s a nice thrift store find! From a video creator perspective, I liked how you explained what Frostgrave is while you were painting the ice - a great way to keep viewer attention while showing what might have been the more tedious part of the paint job - a very engaging video. It was fitting to have the Mother’s Day interruption happen while you were “playing with your toys”. 😂

Yes I have but there is a caveat...lol I just use pieces from a toy that I bought from a garage sale that I used on other pieces of terrain to make them as more of accent pieces than anything to give more flare moxie if you will
