I did LK 25 heroic pugs. Keal'thas burned guilds to ash. He crushed them and even disbanded most guilds because he was that hard.
Nothing can compare TBC with WLK and later expansions. TBC was great because it was hard, and casual players thought 5mans and questing was enough. They didn't QQ every second for epic items.
2005 (EU release) to 2008 was my best gaming experience ever. Vanilla and TBC, will always remember that time.

I see a lot of people wanting to go back and relive their experiences in TBC....I felt the same way so I started searching. Turns out, there's a private server (excalibur-wow) that is very blizzlike and has almost all bosses fully functional. There's about 200 players playing at any time.

I remember when you earned ANY epic in vanilla WoW it was an achievement in itself...then it was merely handing them out in Lich King. The game used to be a challenge. TK will always be an epic fun instance...lots of good memories there.
Wish there was a way to go back in time and rejoice these TBC moments. Love TBC, best expansion ever

I have to say I don't think the game will ever be as epic as it was throughout most of TBC and late vanilla.
oh yea, sunwell was magnificent... till this day may favorite raid in WoW, not only were the boss fights unforgettable but the scenary was amazing

Exactly. Thanks for proving my point. People are comparing the NORMAL modes of today to the raids from TBC, whereas they should compare HEROIC to them.
Raids in TBC were designed around having the first few bosses easy into-bosses, and heavily ramp up the difficulty towards the end boss. Raids today have two difficulties instead of making several loot piñatas for the good players.
4:54 - I still get chills whenever I see the floor shaking and Kael blowing out the ceiling into Netherstorm. This is when raiding wasn't some shitty, time consuming loot exercise.

vanilla wow was an amazing experience, but tbc was really a refined vanilla, and i have to say my favorite expansion.

It just requires a person who've obtained the mount/title on his/her original server to transfer to another one, where a second person has obtained the mount/title.
I play on Draenor-EU. I think there are 3 with the Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal.
it was good because it was hard. so hard that even being 2 tiers behind form the cutting edge made you feel proud of yourself
some things in life just should stay as a memory.....even a private server can't bring them back !
One of the most challenging fights in TBC I would call it, but yet one the most funniest after all the progression time you spent corpse running.

Kael'thas and Lady Vashj I gotta admit they were both Guild Killers.
The black scarab mount is only obtained by the person who opens the AQ gates, they also get the title Scarab Lord. Not 3 people have it on your server, its impossible.

My favourite fight of tbc by far (I would say wow as a whole, but I started and finished playing the game when this expansion was zeitgeist), I am very frustrated that in all this time no high pop well scripted tbc servers exist; even though I have already done this in retail; a chance to repeat would make me very happy indeed.
Join hellground mate :),its a very good 2.4.3 server and they did a wipe,the new server will release at 5.th march,with t4-t5 and prenerf bosses and they try to make as blizzlike as possible similar to patch 2.0. THE HYPE IS REAL

Please give us TBC legacy servers Blizzard. This is one of the best boss fights in all of wow. And i wanna do it again.
I didn't say it would be a good idea, but it would be an idea. Sorry btw, I didn't see that Blizzard told us it was a new IP until yesterday. Anyways, whatever it is, I will be waiting for it.

i agree to a certain extrent. But dont forget that we havent seen the "sunwell" of wotlk yet. Algalon is already quite tough. And so is Yogg+0. You can bet that Icecrown heroic hardmodes will be as hard as sunwell was.
Kael'thas prenerf was probably a little more hard than most of sunwell prenerf (other than M'uru), just from personal opinion I think Kael before nerf and before badge gear and shit was def. the hardest.
I liked the progression part of TBC, i took me a about 2 months before i got my full Dungeon 3 set and finally got to step into Karazhan. Though some guilds cleared Karazhan with Tier 3..i got to clear easy Mode naxxrammas in Tier 6 when Lich King launched. Progression part kind of died off when LK came.

@naraku578 Yeah, but people couldn't pug Illidan right from the start, it took like 5 months before pugs could actually succeed, unlike ICC where it was pugged right from the start.

Tempest Keep was merely a Setback.
TBC was amazing. i remember being dead set on quitting WoW after busting my life getting Rank 14. But once i saw the Dark Portal as the TBC login screen i was incredibly shocked and had to start playing. But Wrath took it to another level.. everything was well written/scripted and dialogue/lore wise was excellent.. and raiding was fun and easy. you could easily make ur own raid and pug simply every week, you didn't have to stand up to no expectations whatever. Own time Own target.

Yes I did play those times.. and no, they aren't doing that to make less instances. There is still around the same amount of bosses in wotlk as in tbc.. all there doing is giving us more variety.. the casuals can do normal and the hardcores can do heroic to get better loot and a more challenge.. nothing wrong with that

Nope mate, when (NOTE in the new servers ) the servers are opened you have to finnish the quest "Banging the gong"(? im not sure was it that) and then return the qwithin 10hours, and everyone doing this will get the mount and title.
The music used in Nihilum's (Ensidia) fights should be the music for the encounter not the same shit from other zones or instances.

used to watch this video cause it has gopod music and to learn the kael fight b4 it got nerfed =p hopefully someone can get up all of nihilums other boss kills with good music, as for the raid health bars i still have no idea what add-on that is
They probably joined back together after they found out it was a joke.
Samurailord, Wotlk could only be explained as "Hard" iff blizzard didnt nerf everything twice a week, they are doing this now so that everyone can see the content and get the gear to do it, for EG, you can get tier 9 without doing ToTc 25, or t8 without doing ulduar, making wotlk more sociable than hardcore

Yes but some people didnt care and still dont care for heroic mode. The awesome feeling of killing the last boss and beating the game was gone after blizzard came out with heroic mode.
