Nature Note: Building Turtle Nest Protectors

Alanna Smolarz. Species at Risk Biologist with Magnetawan First Nation, demonstrates how to build a turtle nest protector with basic tools and simple materials. These nest protectors can be placed over turtle nests to help prevent predators from digging up the nest and to alert people to its presence. Alanna also describes why these nests are so important to Ontario's turtles.
