Donald Trump Attends Funeral for Mother-in-Law With Melania

- Former First Lady Melania Trump on Thursday remembered her mother as “a ray of light in the darkest of days” during a funeral service at a church not far from the family’s Mar-a-Lago estate. The former first lady said she always found peace in the presence of her mother, Amalija Knavs, 78, and that her mother was always there to listen.
The former first lady said her mother celebrated her family's triumphs and supported them during difficult times. She said she would remember the laughter that accompanied travels with her mother, father and sister and “conversations that flowed effortlessly with grace and charm.”
Among the guests who arrived before the start of the private service for Knavs at The Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea were two of Donald Trump's children from previous marriages, Tiffany Trump and Ivanka Trump; Ivanka Trump's husband, Jared Kushner; and Republican U.S. Sens. Rick Scott of Florida and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.
The church is where Trump and his wife were married in 2005. Knavs died Jan. 9 in Miami after an undisclosed illness.

It's nothing like losing your mother I lost my in the early 2000s I remember coming home from work the first day is she wasn't there it was horrible how she feels May her mother rest in peace
That’s something that worries me, I take care of my mother and I enjoy our conversations before work and after work. it pains me to think one day I’ll be looking for that conversation and it won’t be there.
I always remind myself about the righteous and the unrighteous being resurrected. So hopefully that brings comfort for everybody.

I just lost my boss and dear friend which I worked for 22 years. In a CPA office and then caregiver for. It is horrible. My heart goes out to all that have lost loved ones and it is highlighted when OUR FIRST FAMILY is going through pain with us. It's important to have compassion and feel for others, it's called LOVE

It’s a good thing that there’s been minimal media coverage of this event. This is a sad family event, they shouldn’t be reporting of a private family gathering. It’s a funeral for the mother in law of a former president, it’s not exactly newsworthy. Let them be.
