Pretty sure theres less biblical proof for demons being the souls of dead nephilim then there is for them being fallen angels. At that point you're just accepting Jewish tradition over Christian tradition

Genesis 6:1-2; 1 Peter 3:20; 2 Peter 2:4-7; and Jude 6-7 the fallen angels are imprisoned underneath hell called the abyss right now because they sinned. How can those fallen angels who sinned and are trapped in hell by God be demons roaming earth. These angels are not omnipresent at all. The Bible confirms this with the verses above. Giants were absolute evil that loved to sin. Their fathers being angels, their spirits were able to leave their body because they dont have souls, only humans do. Demons love sin just like the giants, thats why they possess us because they miss their physical bodies.

Rest in peace, Dr. Heiser. Here we are in the question of the demonic, though. The problem with this view is that, if we take this position, then the problem arises in (1) WHAT SATAN IS, and (2) WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ANGELS WHO FATHERED THE NEPHILIM. It seems the demonic seems to go back further than the Nephilim.
