Two Frenchmen singing this lovely duet is a rarity to be cherished. To think that in the middle of the 19th century France was the center of great singing a position they ultimately relinquished. May they reclaim that honor.

Splendid interpretation from the vocal point of view. The setting didn't lend itself to much in the way of acting (no Leila, no temple, no foule, no embrace), but no one could care when the sound is this good.

2 générations : le jeune Benjamin ne roule pas les "r" et le vieux baryton Ludovic qui roule les "r"............ Mettez-vous d'accord les français et arrêtez de massacrer votre langue en roulant les "r" en français. Roulez-les dans le français baroque mais pas dans l'opéra français des 19me et 20me siècle ! Ecoutez vos anciens "maîtres" : ils les roulaient déjà à peine ! Evoluez ! Donnez envie aux jeunes générations de vous écouter et de vous aimez !
