      Yes, a great combination to get your teeth kicked in. All those are garbage except for Muay Boran.
      American Kenpo trash, Aikido liquid shit, Yoshinkan karate is troll vomit. Why? Too much technique.
      Learning 1 technique well is better than learning 100,000 techniques. Show me 1 person in fighting
      who successfully used techniques from Karate, Aikido that were successful. They are about as useful
      as Yellow Bamboo martial arts.
      If you are in those styles for fun or exercise, they are good. Better off swimming or taking dancing lessons.
      They are more practical in self-defense applications than a lot of the martial arts styles I have seen.

    Blocking a punch and then snapping their elbow? Definitely self defense and not gonna happen in sport combat. How am I supposed to practice a killing art instead of a sport?

      Muay Boran is a Martial Arts system which is trained according to each practitioner’s needs. If the goal is self-defense, then training is based on defending against an attack. This is why many of the techniques begin with a blocking or evasive move prior to countering. Hence, the term ‘defense’ in self-defense. If the goal is for competitive sport, then training is based on maximum performance, which includes fighting strategy, mental strength and physical conditioning. Fighters usually have two months to prepare for their bout, whereas self-defense is applied in unexpected and sudden situations. And if the goal is for survival, then training will focus on more proactive skills that address finishing moves from the get-go.
