Pink is my second favorite color.
I hated pink and lavender as a child. I liked bold and neon, my favorite outfit as a preteen was an orange jumper dress with a blue striped mock turtleneck underneath. Now as a senior citizen, I love soft pinks, it's flattering.
You look great in pink.
I am familiar with 3 am sewing brilliance. Setting a timer is good advice.
Your furry babies are so cute. I had to retire my pin cushion because my cats would sit and pull out all the pins. I now use a magnetic tray for the pins.
i almost ignored the video, the new name threw me. nice piece, i agree with others that the pinks seem good for you, darn moms. 🤔
Hi, very cute kittens, they are getting so big. The blouse looks really good on you, pink is much a good colour on you. ❤
Watching and listening to you, you totally remind me of me with a project, complete with glasses off and my nose up against my project. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Love the blouse.
This is soooo pretty! And is the lipstick the perfect colour? Yes. Yes, it sure is.
Absolutely gorgeous - pink looks so good on you. I love the sleeves.
I understand the colour thing, I always wanted to wear black but had to wait until I was older. My mother always chose pink for me.... Oh dear.
Birdy
Love it! You look great! The colour looks wonderful on you.
Thanks for the kitten shots they look like they're still a handful
Oh thank you!
The kittens are definitely a handful. Especially when they want to be somewhere they're not supposed to 😉
It looks great! Also, the reveal music is great!
Love the cooperation with Claude detail and you watching her videos while sewing :)
Looking forward to the Wednesday stuff! (And awwww, kitty snuggles!)
The Wednesday episode will be along soon enough...we'll see how long it takes me to get the Other Stuff done 😉
I hate pink but have fuchsia hair, and get so many compliments. Sometimes the colors that look good are not our chosen ones and we end up liking them. I don't wear pink but the hair looks good with my blue and black wardrobe. Whatever make you feel good is right for you. ❤ This turned out very nice.
You're making me miss my henna-red dye job of the late-90s to mid-2010s 😁
I'm with you with the need for setting a timer. Unlike you, I am at my best late at night. This is a problem solving time as well as a productive time. More than once, when my husband has been away, I've been doing a little sewing and suddenly it's dawn. A little disconcerting lol
I'm actually a night person, but have to be up in the morning to drive the husbeast to work. So I'd be happy to sew all night, but I'd fall asleep at the machine (and make stupid mistakes in my exhaustion) 😁
The ted original is Edwardian new-womanly elegant - this is flighty and fun!
The sleeves worked REALLY well!
I'm so often coloured baffled as well!😂 But your pink shirt suits you so well.
Looks very pretty and fun 💗 and I agree with others who've said how well pink and black go together. Love the Dynamic theme music to go with the Duo at the end 😸
My senior cat passed away 3 weeks ago and now I'm left with just my 3 crazy kittens. I love them to pieces (Yoongi has trained me to play fetch with him) but I miss quite snuggle time with my old girl Cocoa.
Look at you go!
I, too, have a love-hate relationship with pink. I feel it makes me pink all over. That dark red is my favourite. I don't wear a lot of black but do avoid pink.
The trick I learned over the years was to mix my black with pink, which was a compromise, but one that worked 😉
Cute!
This came out so adorably cute! I think you did a great job on the adjustments. Also, for some bizarre reason, I keep having the song Lily the Pink play through my head now. The Darby O'Gill (the band, not the film) version that is done as a mash-up with the Beer song. Love those guys. And loving the changes you have made to your channel. It feels more you now and I am digging it. :)
Thank you Crystil! I'm going to have to look up that song at some point 😁
The shirtwaist came out beautifully. It really suits you. Well done.
The guinea pigs like paper bags to play with too. Those kittens are getting so big.

@@robintheparttimesewer6798 Hey Robin!
Yeah, the spring goes well. I'm sharing a veg garden plot with a neighbour this year. After I finish chasing the pigeons away I can start on the balcony veg and flower patch. I won't have any excuse not to cook, lol.
Other than that, cleaning proceeds slowly. As per usual. Although I am almost ready to drop more stuff off at the Village of Value...
OH! And I'm actually sewing something for myself. I found this cobalt blue wool crape at a destash sale. I'm slowly turning it into a kimono sleeve blouse from the 1950's. All hand sewing - right now I'm putting pad stitching into the cuffs and collar... happy sigh. It's been way, way, way too long since I've made anything.
How goes it for you? How's the fam? How's the Grandkiddo? How is you?
@@stevezytveld6585 the garden plot sounds great. My parents had one when we lived in Ottawa. I haven’t even thought about planting this year.
Spring has been rough this year all the storms are giving me weather migraines. It sucks but hopefully it will settle down soon.
Cleaning has been happening. I really do have to get back to it but I don’t want to! Adulting sucks.
It feels like for ever since I’ve sewn anything. I have been knitting but just dish clothes and towels. I did find a bit of fabric at a thrift store. I have lots of ideas. Just no drive.
Your blouse sounds lovely. It’s a darn shame that we can’t do pictures on here!
Family are doing well. Kiddo is growing and starting to push his independence. He’s even walking home with friends. He asked to do it like I would say no. Funny kid. Fresh air, sunshine, exercise and socializing what’s to say no to?
"And then it was 3am and I had sewn the collar on backwards." Aha hahahahahaha omg yes. Not laughing at you, but at past me.
I love your video so much! Just watching how others do things helps a lot! I have a small suggestion about your background lighting at around 8:13 in the video. When you’re wearing black in the foreground of the video and lighting the background really bright it actually can start hurting to look at for long. But also like lighting is hard and I don’t really know the technicalities of lighting for filming, I only know how to light a room because I do architecture but not how to do camera work.
That's called 'taking a timeout from sewing and not rearranging the lighting because it's late/too lazy 😉'
How cute! I'm waiting excitedly for that Collar tho >:)
(Isn't it great when you can get a lot of mileage out of a pattern?)
First thing I do after clicking on one of these videos is booping the like button.
I love pink. Pink does not love me....
One of my cats (and one of my mothers) like to just pull pins out of cushions it's really awful
What kind of sewing machine 😊is that? It looks interesting. I like investigating different brands.
Pfaff Tiptronic. It was handed down to me from the Husbeast's grandmother 😃
OH and what is the pattern for the sweater at 15:05?! thank you!
That would be a sweater I mildly upcycled (altered?) from a Walmart Clearance Section sweater. The video is here: czcams.com/video/8Napu3AHPMQ/video.htmlsi=zR80UfkJVQlawahs
pretty kitties. psa on the pins please NO needles in the pincushion. spent about an hour yesterday trying to fish needles out of a tomato pincushion trying to save the tomato (rip tomato) i filled two felt squares 3-4 inches square. it was horrible, but i have a lifetime supply of needles.
Yikes!
Thankfully, I only have one needle in the pincushion, and it's very retrievable (I needed it to be in a place the kittens couldn't get to). Otherwise, I try to remove needles and store them safely when not in use.
I'm glad you've managed to re-stock via retrieval, though! Did the tomato survive the experience, or is it truly gone for good?
@@MaireColclough its in a cup in the backyard. are you ready for the big aurora
Mums are so often right, darn it, pink does really suit you.
Kinda maddening, eh? 😉
@@MaireColclough yes, but pink and black go so well together. :-)
@@mermaidstears4897 That was the compromise I came to many years back 😁
I just stopped by to say the EXACT same thing. The pink looks great.
@@TruFlyFox Thank you!
