- CCI has produced a toxin free clay pigeon that performs as well as the pitch and coal tar traditional clays we all know and shoot. After spending lots of £££s, Johnny Goodhart's company has created the perfect recipe of chalk and resin and a secret ingredient. But does it perform and what hurdles did CCI face in the development?

I've been shooting eco clays with steel shot for over a year now and don't notice any difference.
Excellent stuff! Does it have a similar density to the old pitch clay? I.e. does it behave similarly under the same forces as the old one?
So the question is, does some official agency certify them for competition? They may be too easy to break... also, is "clay" all that bad?
Against the sky, in silhouette isn't an issue, when against a light background or with the sun on them, from the direction of the shooter, they are harder to see, unless they're painted of course, and anecdotally, if chipped, they don't break quite as readily, but if caught in the middle of a pattern they break just fine....
Any 'clay' looks black from the underside - Basic physics - It blocks the light from above. I have no qualms about how they break, but they can be very hard to see on some presented targets and background.
Looks like rosin, in fact I think I saw rosin written on the plastic bag.
What does pah stand for?
I think it is this en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polycyclic_aromatic_hydrocarbon
@@jamieharmoosh thank you.
Well, calling it the perfect recipe is a bit boastful. Still, I would like to knock a few out of the sky.
