what a nifty tutorial! always cool to see new approaches to problems :)
this tut was amazing and made me calm and at the same time added to my knowledge!
Thanks a lot dear Matthews
Thanks for the kind words 🙂
Simple procedure for an amazing result! Thank you!!
Absolutely wonderful!! Thank YOU
You’re welcome ☺️
Used this method for positioning a pillow against a bed headboard, thanks! :)
Just what I needed, thank you!
Thank you saved me a lot of time trying to browse videos for an actual working one
Glad to hear it
Has anyone suggested you be the Geometry Nodes tutorial creator for Blender Studio? A step-by-step series by you would be well worth the price of a Studio subscription. I think the current series is actually really good. But your cadence and descriptions of how things work is the best I've heard. Between theirs and yours, I feel much more fluent in geonodes than I thought I'd be able to.
No, I doubt they need my assistance :) But thanks for the kind words.
This is the best free software Ive seen. Respect.
THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL :D
You're welcome! I hoped it would help someone.
i really apreciate your help with dowloanding this software

Great job! I can’t find this on Gumroad ..are you sure it’s available?
Most of the assets are on Gumroad, but the add-on is on my Patreon with the source files. www.patreon.com/johnnymatthews
For once, the software is actually really useful
I wish its get work
Nice demonstration of hook modifier! Sadly your tutorial suffers from the same thing all the other physics tutorials suffer from... Blender's general lack of value labeling. How much is a "...more friction"? There's just no way to really know. And the interactions between values means that you could be FAR away from an ideal setting. In fact you could even be fighting against values you've entered elsewhere :( At least with vert weight painting you get a colour gradient to a normalized quantity
Oh I agree whole-heartedly. But, in the end, even with quick setups, I was liking some of the results I was getting.
That seems like a problem of Blender rather than of the tutorials. I also dislike that some physics parameters are not expressed in known units, but that must be in part because the simulation engines that Blender usees are not that good, so to achieve real-looking results, you usually need to use non realistic values.
Triangulating the mesh (edit mode or modifier) will also help with the ugly areas where the cloth is folded.
Good catch! Was definitely trying to focus on this particular trick, I do need to do a full back to basics cloth video at some point.
@@JohnnyMatthews When you do - remember to include using another very high poly mesh as the final blanket, and using the present one as the Helper Object for a Surface deform, or Mesh Deform Modifier to control the final mesh.
