Finally someone that uses the index finger!! I only braid my childs hair but always had a hard time using the pinky, now I see someone else uses the index finger too!!!! So many ppl use pinky only. Nice braids btw

I have been breading my hair like this all my life. I call it over-braid. My hand is more comfortable with it. A lot of people braid under but my braids sit on top.

How do you avoid the braid getting thin when it’s getting to the end like the nape?
My all back braids are always getting thin when I get to the nape part😢(only natural hair no added extensions)

It's funny this video came up because this is actually the only way I can stitch braid.... if I try to use my pinky, I end up dragging the hair instead of making actual stitches. I'm not sure why it happen, but it always does if I try to use my pinky.
