- Welcome to the beautiful state of Chiapas! In today's Mexico vlog we travel to Chiapas, Mexico and kick off our trip with something truly incredible- the Sumidero Canyon (Cañon Sumidero). The Cañon Sumidero seems to be on every Mexican's bucket list and for good reason! The highest cliffs above the river stand over 1000 meters high!
We booked the tour through our hotel (in Chiapa de Corzo) and paid 250 pesos per person. From what we could see at the actual boat area- this was the same price they charged if you walked or took a taxi to the tour area. However, it seems like it may be a better idea to stay in San Cristobal de las Casas and take a tour from there instead. From San Cristobal you can add on the option to see the miradores (lookout spots) above the canyon for a reasonable price.

No te servirá de nada, te hosperdarias en San Cristóbal de las casas y es de las ciudades más altas de México, y casi todo el año hace frío, y en invierno ufff, mucho frío, luego hay heladas y así, y hay bosques de pinos y encinos a los alrededores, se te irá la imagen de lo tropical y volverás al frío de dónde querías salir

That's my beautiful state chiapas I grew up there I born but I been living here at USA for 14 years now I left my country my state when I was 15 years old but soon I be going back to my beautiful home state chiapas soon you guys you should visit el chifon and velo de novia and selva lagandona thos are beautiful places there too thanks for the videos it's been a long time haven't been to my state and my family all my siblings but I'm married to a gringa here so hopefully I'll be there soon saludos atodos
